What People are saying

Don't bother!

travelnut360on 20/09/2014 06:36

This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was small, the bathroom was small, and with the exception of one staff member, the staff were extremely rude and indifferent. Had to stay here for over a week as it was prearranged.

The lighting in the room was terrible. Niot sure if it's because of the awful pale yellowish paint colour of the room. The room looked dirty and there was no way I was going to walk on the old carpet without shoes. The tv was very small and old, located in the corner above the door. The air conditioner worked but was noisy.

The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and had a funny smell. There was only a shower stall which could use a good clean or new tiles. Kept the slippers on when I took the shower.

We didn't get new towels everyday and getting new shampoo and soap was hit and miss. The soap was so small, we used a whole bar every 2 days. The shampoo came in a packet. No conditioner or body lotion or anything else that hotel's normally provide.

Breakfast was included and consisted of the usual breads, meat and cheeses. Staff stuck us in a corner and would not let us eat anywhere else but there even though there was lots of other tables. There was no attempts of pleasantries or friendliness of the breakfast staff. It was like we were an irritant that they wished would go away.

The only staff member that made staying here tolerable was Anna. What a lovely, helpful lady! She should really look to work elsewheres as she certainly didn't fit the mould of the hotel. The other front desk person, a male who someone thought was the owner or manager was awful. Sullen, indifferent, and gave the impression everything was a bother. I didn't even want to ask for my room key because of his attitude!

The hotel had a small outdoor swimming pool with very cold water and a small coffee bar. There is nowhere to go and relax when it rained as the small lobby was overcrowded with all the guests who had nothing else to do and it was the only place wifi was stable and available and had a tv.

This was a horrible place that I would never recommend to anyone. If we hadn't already prepaid the exorbitant fee and weren't travelling with a large group, we would have found another place immediately. I'm still having nightmares.....

No frills comfort.

We stayed here while my husband's team competed in the International Dragon boat races in Ravenna. We stayed with our guide dog Parker and the staff didn't bat an eye.
The rooms are pretty big, with a moderate size bathroom. Don't look for any frills! The rooms are very clean, the bed is very comfortable. There isn't room service, or a mini fridge, or even a phone that connects with the front desk. But it's an oasis.
The wifi is free, but if it's in demand then it's very slow.
There were French doors in the main living space that opened up overlooking the street. With a word of caution that recycling and rubbish pick up are at 6:30 every morning.
Anna the front desk woman was God send! We needed a vet for some medication for Parker and she called the Italian speaking vet and translated for us.
The location is utter perfection, it's close to the beach, a little grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy, and the train station. There is also a laundromat through a little park along with a bank.
We're already planning our next trip.
The breakfast buffet was hit and miss the same foods were served everyday, but to accommodate us the staff boiled us some eggs. It was like it was Christmas.
The hotel will suffer a huge blow by losing Anna, but I still highly recommend it.

Wonderful place

We stayed for 5 days at the end of August. We like it so much that we wanted to extend the stay but the hotel was full. For sure we will return next year. Hotel very nice, extremely clean, perfect position a few steps from the beach, nice terrace and pool, excellent staff. The salad buffet at the meals was great, loads of choices, the food was very good, the wait staff very friendly and accomodating. Wifi strong in the lobby, terrace and pooside, in the rooms it is intermittent. The room had a nice balcony, a desk, very comfortable bed, good shower. Perfect place for a very relaxing, family holiday. Top marks in all categories!
