Cheap and very cheerful. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Tricky to find. No restaurant and not much parking. Has to be said that Ales is a bit non but this little hotel was fine for a one night stay. No lift so not so good for the disabled.

Right in the center of Ales, I'd suggest grabbing the first parking spot you find in the town center and walking to the hotel. With slim streets and few spots, you'll save some frustration. The hotel is typically French and very nice if you aren't looking for anything too Deluxe. Expedia called it two-stars, and I would concur. The 68 Euros rate for a superior room is about right for this very basic room. Extremely clean, good sized and well functioned, it was a bit on the utilitarian side. Free wi fi and a small TV with all French channels. Reception was very helpful recommending a local restaurant, which decided not to open that night. Ah, France.

Friendly Hotel in the heart of Ales, with parking which is great. Owners were lovely and soooo accommodating, it's a typical French Hotel - 3 * so the rooms aren't amazing but clean, and lovely and the breakfast is worth the stay alone. Whenever we needed some help (restaurant, salon recommendations, parking anything) the staff were there to help! Lovely lovely people. We will be back soon!

Nice small hotel right down town in Ales - kind of a typical small French hotel in a small French town with 3 floors and no elevator.
There is nothing really bad to be said about this hotel - rooms were clean although somewhat tired (but not necessarily unpleasant) in appearance, clean bathroom and nice view towards the street.
Breakfast was included and fairly good - continental with fairly limited choices but everything available was fresh and tasty.
The only downside was parking - they had a small parking and it was fully occupied and so we had to find parking on the street.

Hotel Orly in Ales is perfectly located in the commercial centre, close to the station and close to the lively river-shore. Room are spacious enough and tidy. Windows keep the rooms quiet, even those heading towards the street. Nothing to complain about.
