Historic hotel in great location
Travellers-Kon 02/10/2017 16:29We enjoyed our stay in the triple room with a terrace and really missed the jacuzzi when we left. The whole building was elegant with wonderful high ceilings, spacious and nicely furnished rooms. The bathroom was very newly renovated and was large and well appointed. Breakfast, whether outside in the sunshine or inside in the breakfast room was good with attentive service. The layout of the room with a double bed on a loft above the sofa bed below was a good use of space and worked well for us except that with or without a/c (the French doors to the terrace left open), the downstairs bed was extremely cold while the upstairs area was somewhat airless.
Nice boutique hotel but...
MadridWorldTravelleron 06/09/2017 18:44We stayed only one night in Bosa while scubadiving and traveling throughout Sardinia and decided to pay a little more than usual and stay in a lovely boutique hotel equipped with elevator (we carry heavy scubadiving equipment). When we arrived, a very nice receptionist told us that our room was in other building, two minutes away.
The second building had no elevator and although the room was very nice, it was in a second or third floor (I can't remember) and the stairway was very steep to carry 4 heavy suitcases.
I looked for the booking confirmation in my cell phone and checked that nothing was said about a second building without elevator. We explained the situation to the receptionist and she finally managed to get a room for us in the main building. I really didn't like the situation.
The building is beautiful. For me the room was small and too classically decorated . You could clearly hear the occupants of the adjacent room. The bathroom was modern and clean. We had views of the castle and the village from a nice balcony. Breakfast was OK and there was free parking spaces in the street.
Bosa is the most beautiful village I've visited in Sardinia, but I don't know if I would return to this hotel.
Lovely hotel...just need to fix the water
Joanna Kon 30/08/2017 13:43We stayed here for two nights in August. Beautiful hotel and great location. Hotel staff were lovely (restaurant staff not quite as charming). Room was clean and very nice, though the walls are thin. My only criticism is the water situation - had to wait two hours for the water to heat up in the morning (having asked at reception several times), which was annoying, and the next morning it was tepid by 9am. Other than that, a lovely hotel in a really lovely town.
Very disappointing
tallieliebermanon 22/08/2017 19:47Besides the service staff at the breakfast and besides two lovely women at the check in (sabrina and another dark-haired woman), our stay at this 3-star hotel in lovely Bosa was disappointing and, at times, infuriating.
The air conditioning did not function most of the time.
There was a half day in which there was no hot water - and no electricity in the bathroom.
There were two weddings until late at night that made sleeping impossible.
When I complained, I received smiles but no response.
When I asked upon check out about compensation, I received a ridiculous response that while I was disturbed by the noise of the wedding, they were disturbed by my children.
We left very upset and after a very upsetting altercation with a blonde-haired woman at the front desk.
Disappointed to say the least!
Perfect Hotel in Beautiful Bosa
Allan293on 22/08/2017 11:57We had a most enjoyable 4 night stay. From our arrival and greeting by a charming and most helpful receptionist everything was excellent. The building has a great blend of style and modernity (eg the superb lift!) and our room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a private terrace which had great panoramic views across the river to the old town and castle.
Breakfast was also good and enjoyable on the outside terrace.
Car parking is easy on a nearby location about 100 metres away, and free!
Hope to stay here again one day!
(One minus, though not related directly to the hotel. We were most unimpressed by the separate but adjacent restaurant of similar name and would advise avoiding this. The setting is nice but from the moment we presented our vouchers from the hotel we seemed to be treated like "second class citizens". The food was average, service was very poor and when we finally came to pay our initial bill did not have a deduction for the vouchers on it - we of course challenged this successfully but had the impression that it may not have been "just a mistake"!
There are far better and more welcoming restaurants in the town eg La Locanda di Corte Osteria.)
