Staff were very friendly. The location is not close to the city centre but if you don't mind the walk wasn't too bad 15/20 minutes.
The bathroom was ridiculously tiny. I am a small build frame and struggled to shower. The door also didn't close properly which hindered the already tiny shower.
The ceiling had a huge cut and had been replaced with another piece roughly screwed in and had some form of tubing hanging out of it into the shower for drainage.
The wallpapered walls were very grotty. The room was in need of renovations.
I wouldn't recommend staying here due to the smallest of small bathroom facilities.

The hotel was a short walk from the centre, but allowed various routes to different attractions. It's on a fairly quiet street and we had the room by the door and slept fine.
We really didn't mind the short walk because it was cheaper than others.
Some of the reviews on here are unfair because the hotel does try hard to be a friendly place and for a base to explore the city it was perfect.

The room was very average for the price. There was no room for shower, the shower was literally on top of the toilet seat which means we had to sit on the toilet seat to shower. It also had a horrible smell, I think it was something to do with the sewage. Not coming here again that's for sure! All the staff was good and very friendly but the room was really not worth the money

Thing that made this hotel unforgettable was the staff. Jessica was hands down the most likeable, funny, helpful person we've EVER dealt with anywhere we've stayed in the world. Carlo was not only polite and helpful but he made of mornings perfect with a cup of coffee, that meant the world to us.

AC could've blown stronger/colder but they gave us a fan which made it better.
Bed was hard as a rock, all but 2 of the hotels on our 7 week trip were like this. Definitely too firm for us but not old and worn out like many other hotels we stayed in.
Beware some rooms don't have a shower just a tub with a shower head. Very weird at first but we adjusted and floor stays mostly dry if your relatively careful.
All and all a great hotel and we would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Very simple hotel isn't perfect needs some touching up here and there, but... staff is friendly, room was very clean and cool (temperature-wise) breakfast is good, but when you want the real Italian coffee make sure to ask for espresso :) there is a parking lot available for a reasonable amount per night (cheaper then most others in the city) beds are firm but I like that.
I'd book this hotel again when I visit Florence
