I love this hotel. It is close to everything: Lake Lacar, restaurants, coffee places, and shopping areas. The staff at this hotel is extremely helpful and kind. They go above and beyond to help! The restaurant in the hotel has awesome dishes and the price is better than other places in the city. Their breakfast has many options and types of beverages. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. My only critic regarding this great hotel is the lack of air conditioners in the rooms. I understand that it is not usual to have over 27°C temperatures in the summer. But, when it happens, ACs are a must. When you have several days above this temperatures, it becomes rather uncomfortable to be in the room. But, I truly love this hotel and will stay here again!

On Friday December 30th, 2016 I decided to travel to San Martin de los Andes with an American friend for a Goodbye to year 2016 and to Welcome the Arrival of 2017.
Based on the comments found at TripAdvisor, we decided & selected to make reservations at the Patagonia Plaza. We requested a “Quiet room on a Higher floor…”.
When we arrived we were assigned room 105 and when inquired about the room assigned we were told that the room was “Quiet” as it was in front of the Gardens … making the street traffic buffered. We look at room 105 and found the window open as the Hotel had no Air Conditioning … being summer the room was hot & stuffy.
We went back to the Check-In agent and requested if there was a room to the back of the hotel and he advised us that in the back of the Hotel the parking lot was located therefore there would be more noise. He checked for other rooms available and said that the hotel was “Sold Out” !..
Our first night even though we both had “ear plugs …” we could hear loud noises from the street and since the hotel has no “sound proof walls” we could also hear what was going on in the adjacent rooms … That got even louder in the early morning ..! Again, as the hotel has no Air Conditioning the room was quite hot!
Our biggest disappointment with Patagonia Plaza was when we returned on the afternoon of Saturday December 31. We requested at the Bar two champagne glasses to take to our room and we were told “ that they did not have enough champagne glasses …” and that the Hotel only had glasses to cover their New Year Dinner Party … We asked then for two of any type of glasses … We also got a short “ No ! “ One of the waiters entering the kitchen added in a loud voice “ We will need all type of glasses for tonight … “ and a bearded Bartender / Cashier and a Waitress behind the Bar re-affirmed what was said by the Waiter entering the Kitchen.
We decided to advise the front desk of what had just happened … The same and only front desk agent who had checked us in the hotel on Friday and was now at the front desk … Said that there was “nothing that he could do or say …! “ We asked him for the Person / Manager in Charge … He advised us that this Person had gone home … and would not be back until Sunday January 1st.
Having been in the Travel Industry and owner of a Resort, I consider myself an avid & experienced world traveler… I would have never expected such an embarrassing experience at a Four Star Hotel .
On a positive note Patagonia Plaza, offers acceptable common areas and included a buffet type breakfast with your room. The only front desk agent at all times on duty showed concern and was cordial & tried to be very helpful.

Our room was facing the side of the hotel and it was very quiet . Rooms are very well equipped and warm . Breakfast was wonderful ! Great variety of foods and fits every custom . The waiters at the dining room are excellent ! the most courteous , helpful and efficient you can imagine . The front office staff was also very good and polite .The hotel is very well located in the center of town but walking distance from the lake and all facilities .

I stayed for a week in this hotel. The room was nice and clean. The bed and linens comfortable and clean. The restaurant is nice. The breakfast was included in the room's price and it was very good. The servers were friendly. It's location is great. On the day I left I had to leave very early in the morning. The kitchen wasn't open at that time. The gentleman that was in charge of the front desk at that time was kind enough as to prepare fresh coffee for us, gave us fresh fruit and packed some pastries for us to take on our trip. He was wonderful. So I can only say that I would absolutely go back to this wonderful hotel.

Very good hotel. Located only 4 blocks away from lake Lacar, which is great location especially in summer.
Good service. Good breakfast served. Has a clamitize swiming pool.
Has parking place.
Offers babysitting services (but only if you ask for it - not officially)
