An average hotel

We paid Rs 1500/- per room per night during high season, so pricing is decent. The rooms though are small and cleanliness of linen a bit suspect. The management is very responsive though. We also availed through them accommodation at the Payal Desert Resort, Sam dunes at Rs 1500/- per person (for 5) for overnight stay in a single tent and for all other transport arrangements. The hotel has a decent, roof top, restaurant and serves tasty vegetarian only meals.
great visit

Hotel Payal is nothing great to look at, but the rates are just perfect. The rooms are neat and clean, sheets were freshly washed and the toilet was spotless. We had breakfast at the restaurant, which was good as well.
Location is just perfect, you can walk it up to Salim Singh Haveli and Patwaon ki haveli and the fort in 10 minutes in one direction. The Lake is in the opposite direction and is only a couple of minutes.
The Hotel also functions as a Youth hostel Franchisee.

Hotel is nearby ghadisar lake and very much approachable from fort, patwa's haveli. They also HV desert safari camp near Sam dunes. Punjabi Food served at hotel and Rajsthani dinner at desert camp site were average. Hotel has swimming pool though not that clean but still I would recommend this place.
A great location: you can best enjoy the fort from outside it

We enjoyed our stay at the Payal Hotel. The room was clean and basic. The pool was lovely although we didn't get a chance to swim. The view from the roof restaurant is excellent and you can see the whole fort in all it's splendour. We were also close to the lake and in a more local area which was walking distance from the bus stop, the cultural museum - where we enjoyed a puppet show and the auto stand. We walked easily to the old town at the first fort gate. We had chai on the roof and in their guest lounge many times. The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. We found the restaurant food good. We also went on a two night package to the Payal Safari Camp which we really enjoyed. We would enjoy returning to this locally owned hotel.
