Badly maintained place, needs huge improvements

We stayed here from 05 Nov for 3days.
Service, house keeping- terrible. Very limited choice for breakfast.If more than 3 tables are occupied- they are flustered and the guests would have a long wait.
On check in we found the rooms very musty- but could not get any one from house keeping- finally we had to air out the room. Bath tub is stained, hotel management insists that its only a scratch.
Very bad maintenance.
Had to go to the reception 3 times to get our luggage to our room-finally it was brought after nearly 40 minutes.

They say there is going to be a change of management n then things would improve,
Hope this happens soon , especially with the Kannur International Airport coming up soon n the property is on the Kannur Highway.

The only positive factor was the view from the room- a lovely view of the backwaters,a bridge in the distance,an occasional boat passing by, on the other side is a busy highway, lots of greenery around- this is what that kept us going for those 3 days.

Wish the new management gets their act done fast, till then - avoid this place.

Worst hotel with professionalism

Had booked this hotel for a birthday event and had to compromise with my client because of the attitude of the banquet manager of this hotel. Very arrogant and unprofessional, he is the last person to be seated in that chair as banquet manager. His name is Mr.Sameer, who does not know what a banquet manager dies and what is service industry. Will not recommend this hotel to even my enemies. Such a pathetic hotel. The ball room, banquet hall stinks. I had to tell them to spray a room freshener. The worst was when they charged my client with exorbitant rates which was not agreed upon, for the food which was worse than a local shop. I believe they run this hotel for just looting the people who accidentally approach them. My advice is never ever go near that hotel, they will even charge you for getting into their premises...Such unprofessional people.

Once a good hotel that has been run down

We have stayed in Pearlview Regency, Thalessery on three occasions, including the one in May 2017. The main reason for our stay is the location , which is closer to many places we were planning to visit. In summary:

The hotel which was once an attractive hotel (we have stayed there before) , is now terribly run down mostly on the available amenities. For example, the restaurant is extremity poor with poor choices. we had two options for breakfast, which was included in the price. We had lunch one day again there were only one or two choices. they had no menu.

There were very few patrons. The swimming pool was non operational with green algae growing. We did not use the Bar. Water Closet in the toilet was leaking and had to be turned off when not in use. Bath tub was scruffy with cracks repaired using silicon fillers.

Good aspects: the room was clean. Bed and towels were fresh. The air conditioner was in good working order. The lifts worked. The reception staff did their best to help.

A good stopover between Kannur and Thalassery

Pearl Regency is an ideal stop over for travellers on the highway between Kannur and Thalassey. They have a good restaurant that serves Indian cuisine and beer & wine, rooms are neat and tidy. There are a bit a maintenance issues, still this is among the best places available in the area.

The Pearlview Hotel along the kannur road next to tellicherry co op hospital. Facing to koduvally river. 1st 3star hotel in the town have a beer&wine parlour and a good restaurant. I recommend this hotel
