What People are saying

Cheap and Cheerful

Littlebitz1on 03/11/2017 15:50

If you want a quick stay, somewhere cheap with a good location, it is worth considering.

This is not a modern hotel, it is dated and you will find cracks, tape and windows that won't quite shut; but it is priced accordingly. Do not expect complimentary toiletries or reception to have fluency in other languages. If cheap and cheerful is what you are after, this will suit you just fine.

What you will get is a decent comfy bed, a good location and a small breakfast room (which will not accommodate all tenants - so be prepared to not get a seat and have to wait until a table clears) or get out and explore and you'll find a ton of cafes on your doorstep.

This is not a hotel you'll be hanging around in, but one that is conveniently located for you to get back to after your days of exploration and enjoyment of Bologna.

Shower head was taped together-why not just repair or replace?? Water pressure is low. It just piddles out and takes forever to get shampoo out. No individual bottles of shampoo or anything but dispensers on the wall like a public bathroom.
The only thing going is the location and the sheets are clean. If that’s all you want...

Good location

We stayed for 2 nights early October. Hotel was in old town inside city walls. Easy level walk - mostly under porticoes to the centre. We stayed at the back and it was very quiet. Hotel did not have a bar and the lounge was a few sofas in reception. Room with welcome fridge and well appointed bathroom with nice toiletries provided.

Good value

Situated in the Strada Maggiore (a narrow but very busy street) our room had quadruple glazing and we heard no traffic noise.

The Pedrini is situated in the SE quarter of the city about 1Km from the centre, an easy walk even when it is raining, as just about all of the walkways are under cover (colonnade/arcade).

There is limited off street parking (chargeable) the rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff helpful.

Good enough

We spent two nights at the hotel Pedrini- The cute little family run hotel. Small room with the big French doors that opened up for air at night, comfortable bed and mini fridge and a good size bathroom with a shower and toilet & bidet
it was adequate for a couple and within the walls of the old city very close to the bus if you're coming from the central train station- bus number 33
Our room overlook the parking lot and it could get a little bit noisy at night with people walking by singing or screaming if your windows open-It did have air-conditioning in the rooms but it was not on because its September
Personally I think it was a little pricey for what you got but there was nothing really available as some jazz type festival was going on in the city.
It was a cute hotel nearby many restaurants and cafés. They do provide nice l"Occitan toiletries in the bathroom which was a nice touch.
Thank you for the hospitality!
