What People are saying

Poor customer service

alane_567284on 08/06/2017 00:47

The staff are just so incredibly rude and unhelpful, we asked about airport shuttle from airport to the hotel as it was advertised when booking the room, I called before the stay and got told in a rude manner that it wasn't available, we asked for extra shampoo but got told we couldn't have any until day after but we asked again and got told no, the views and pool was fantastic but that was only good thing.

Great spot

Excellent location. We aware that an electric railroad line goes directly behind the property...was not a problem in that trains seem to stop by 10 pm; but first morning train is early. Walking on road into town (600 meters) can dangerous.

Fun stay

The resort is showing its age and is a bit rundown but rooms were clean and the staff friendly and there was a great atmosphere and lots to do. Food was excellent - but all buffet style; there are two swimming pools - both in good condition and well maintained.

Italian 'families' go-to vacation spot; not a ''couple, looking to relax'' vacation spot

Kathleen Fon 13/09/2016 19:01

This was the last city we stopped at and Palermo is absolutely amazing, however the hotel was very lackluster. We booked 3-4 star hotels but this one should have been a 2 - if not for the amenities. Families with young kids will appreciate the kids’ club- which runs until 12:30am; not what we were looking for as a couple on a getaway. We found after being there a few days that this was much more of a place where Italian 'families' go to vacation spot and not a couple, looking to relax, vacation spot.
The room itself was a disaster, as shown in the pictures, but one good point was it had good air-conditioning. There are 2 pools, one which accommodates more of the 'kids', the 2nd that is an Olympic-size (which is salt water - who knew!), as well as a beautiful private cove. Keep in mind that Italian and Sicilian are the primary languages spoken at the hotel and we were the only ones there that spoke English. Some staff knew broken English, and one staff member didn't know a word.
The breakfast is free, but the lunch and dinner is 25 euro/per person. Also this is a gated hotel, and is in the middle of pretty much nowhere, so basically you are stuck there unless you have a car, or get a taxi. Taxi to the airport was 40 euro, approx 20 mins away. They also forgot to give our passports back, which almost made for us not make the flight out of Palermo, which would have been a disaster as we had 3 more connecting flights home.

A different experience

After traveling around Sicily for almost two weeks we needed to find accommodation not too far from the Palermo Airport. We were struggling to find accommodation and this hotel was only reading three-and-a half stars. We booked three nights. The location was a little tricky to find and the Tom Tom led us astray yet again. Once you find the turn off which sign posts the hotel, continue right down that road until you almost reach the bottom. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean but a little outdated. It would have been a treat in the 70's or 80's. I'm fussy but I was really happy here. The breakfast was great but almost like a treasure hunt to find everything. It is geared up for families and it certainly is fun. We didn't eat lunch there but traveled in and out of Terrasini and Cinisi for meals and gelati. You can buy drinks and ice creams and be entertained in the evening if you wish. The private beach is fabulous with a free buggy ride to the beach from the swimming pool area and back. I joined in the aqua aerobics and absolutely loved it. The only down side for me is that I would have liked a small fridge in the room but we managed. I'd return to this place without question. Some may not like it but it was a great way to see how Sicilians enjoy life.
