Flying insects in the rooms

In october, I joined a touristic travel in Italy with my friends. Everything was great until this hotel. There were many flying insects in my room. When I complained this situation to reception, they dismissed me and they were rude to me and my friends. They didn’t do anything to solve this problem and we couldn’t sleep two nights. This hotel doesn’t deserve 4 stars, I dont’t recommend this place unfortunately
Lovely Staff

Thanks to you all for being so hospitable on our recent group tour to Venice. I believe there were over 100 guests staying with you over the two nights and you seemed to cope with them all very well indeed. We liked the way you provided a buffet on the 1st night and a table-served meal on the 2nd night. The singer in the restaurant was a nice extra touch too. The room was very comfortable and the double glazing worked very well indeed, to keep the noise down, as my wife can normally hear a pin drop at night.
Good hotel

We stayed here for two nights, the bathroom was tiny and the shower was dark and slippery. The food was not very good. The beds were comfy. The walls and doors are very thin and you can hear everyone who is showering or flushing their toilet on the same floor.
There is not a lot to do at this hotel if you have to wait around for a late flight. We walked to the Shopping Mall had a look around the shops and brought food to eat from the supermarket.
We did find the reception staff very friendly and very accommodating.
The Hotel is good if you are using it as a base or stopping overnight.
Smart looking from the outside

We were only here for 2 nights at the end of a cruise so we could visit Venice. they welcomed us with drinks and the staff were polite and helpful. the rooms were adequate if not a little tired but it was clean and comfortable. There was a lot of us 2 coach loads, so it was extremely noisy in the dining room, you could hardly hear what you were saying. They did have another more comfortable dining room but there were too many for that. The food was ok that's all i can say on both nights although the deserts were delicious with plentiful fresh fruit also. It was adequate that's all I can say and i am sure the team did their best to accommodate so many people at once.
Not a Four Star Hotel

Stayed here for two nights as part of a Cosmos/MSC cruise and stay deal and this hotel bore no relation to the standard of the same 4 star rating of the hotel we had just left on Lake Garda.
This is essentially an airport stop over being about a 20 mins drive from Marco Polo airport and is a long way (approx 15kms) out of Venice although there is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you into central Venice in approx 20 mins. Other than that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere on a very busy and noisy main road. There is a supermarket/ shopping complex a short walk away which can be reached by going out the back of the hotel and along a lane rather than along the main road.
The building is an uninspiring Travelodge style and whilst furnishings are more plush inside these are of a dated style, The welcome drink and snacks did not make up for the fact that the rooms are tiny and very cramped. There was only really space for one suitcase and as we were only there for a couple of nights did not want to fully unpack so storing a case under the bed wasn't practical. The rooms have narrow 2ft 6in single beds so not very comfortable. The small size theme carries on into the bathroom where you have to shimmy round the bidet to get to the toilet and the shower is so small that unless you are slim you can't actually fit through the doors to get into it and if you are lucky enough to fit in you can barely lift your arms to wash your hair, heaven forbid you drop the soap!
Breakfast was a very basic continental style with a couple of choices of processed meats, one type of cheese, cereals and yoghurt, a plate of croissants on the table, rationed to one each and hot scrambled egg and sausages, fruit juice tea and coffee were available.
We had evening meals provided which were acceptable, one a buffet with three choices of meat or fish, rice, pasta or potato and salad plus a tasty soup, three choices of dessert and fresh fruit. The served meal included a very tasty spaghetti course but the salad entree was just cabbage and lettuce chopped up and the main course of chicken, tinned peas and smash type mash was very canteeny.
Staff were OK, not overly helpful or friendly but not rude either.
As someone else stated the room cleaning regime involved opening the doors to all the rooms in the corridor at one time so not very secure. Rooms were cleanish, I felt the bedcover was a little grimy and there were a lot of dead flies in the light fitting, however towels were changed daily.
Overall this hotel and its rooms fall far below Premier Inn and Travelodge standards found in the UK, I am sure there must be better options nearby. I would not want to stay here again.
