Great basic hotel
George Oon 17/11/2017 07:22This is a small, economical hotel for those on a budget. It was a bit difficult to locate; however the staff was very helpful! They provided me maps and directions for restaurants, currency exchanges, supermarkets and the port. The room was small but comfortable. Breakfast consisted of pastries, yogurt, juices, cappuccino, bread, meats and cheeses served in an area off the lobby. Hotel Porto Di Roma is not fancy; it is basic, comfortable and reasonably priced with a pleasant staff. Room had excellent free wi-fi. One caveat – the stairway to the 2nd floor does not have a handrail. Upon request, the staff will carry your bags up/down the stairs. Request a room on the 1st floor if a handrail is necessary.
Convenient, clean, and comfortable
sikobarbaraon 23/10/2017 20:07We stayed here the night before our ship departed. The hotel is clean, the staff are very friendly & knowledgeable, and the breakfast was lovely. Half of our group walked to the shuttle to the cruise ships and the other half had the hotel staff arrange a taxi for departure to the port. A taxi is really unnecessary unless you have a ton of luggage. We were on the second floor and our window faced the street. There was a local festival that evening and a band played right outside our window. With the jetlag we slept through most of it, but the parts we did hear were wonderful. Great value for a fun evening!
Excellent Location for Port
Mark Fon 15/08/2017 09:01Stayed here for a night before leaving on a cruise the next day and found hotel to be very clean, staff excellent and extremely helpful plus good breakfast as well. Rooms are basic but it is classed as a 2 star. Excellent choice for Port as walking distance to coaches for transfer to ships. Good value for money.
Good cental hotel
jackie_rogers59on 24/07/2017 18:18Good hotel near to the station and good for sightseeing on the Big Red Bus. Not many restaurants close by but with a short walk they can be found. Good restaurant for breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are very clean. will stay again if visiting Rome
