staff is very friendly and accommodating. Loved the views for the volcano's and hillside. Didn't like the fact that we weren't told that the hotel doesn't have A/C and it is pretty far from any of the locations we wanted to visit.

Stayed at this place Three times allready. Always a Good vibe. They serve a Nice breakfast and run a Nice restaurant. Only Thirty minutes from the AirPort. There is also an up Schalke italian restaurant directly next to the hotel.

This is a simple 12 room / two level hotel. The rooms do not have AC but rely on screened windows; cool breezes and design to make rooms comfortable. This is a nature lover's hotel close to San Jose. If you want to watch TV, you will be disappointed in small poor quality TV. Is that why you came to CR? If you want flowers; the sound of birds and goats; relaxing view while sipping wine; then this is a nice place. We did get a fan from the desk to keep air moving in room. We also had to ask for a hair dryer. You may see a salamander or lizard climbing the wall of your room and small ants will find food scraps in your room. This is not the Marriot; this is a hotel that will make you think you are in 1947, not 2017. I liked that. They served meals which you often could eat in solitude by the pool or casually converse with one of the other guests in the lobby/ dining area.

eco trip - close to nature- beautiful local food made by the hotel that really taste DIFFERENT!...Natural surroundings very close to the city...friendly and efficient service that surpasses.. what more can one ask? Will defenitely go there again.

This is a lovely hotel that I will go back to. Big, spacious rooms, large, super comfy beds, and lovely public spaces, plus a pool that I wish I had had time to use. The price for all of this is ridiculously cheap, as you can see from their room prices. Very friendly hotel staff, especially Gabriel (day-time host). The meals are not included and are expensive, although they are good. It is easy to use Uber to get out for dinner at some of the other great restaurants in Sta. Ana if you don't want to pay US $$ for your dinners. Thank you to the hotel staff- I loved staying here.
