enjoys the privileged location of being bang on the Nani Daman beach - most popular beach of Mumbai. The hotel rooms are spacious and well set. A little refurbishment will however make it earn a 5 rating.
An Average Hotel

The Old Presidency Hotel is now called The Casa Tesoro. The Management has been taken over by Sterling Holiday Resorts. The staff usually makes efforts, but the service level needs to be improved. The hotel is located far from the beach. Parking is available. Wi-fi is available in the lobby.

- You got to find a person always..because there is no one who sits at reception
- No toilet paper
- No door lock..just latch
- Call them thrice in 1 hour to get your breakfast
- Discount of Rs. 500..when the room is not even worth the "500" discount!
- Dustbin does not have a carry bag...but it definitely has spits which ain't cleaned
- You can just smell cigarette and alcohol in the rooms
- By "swimming pool faced rooms" they mean trees and not the pool exactly

I booked this hotel from GoIbibo.com. When I reached the hotel in Daman, to check in I was told that my bookings are NOT valid and rooms cannot be provided. Even after showing the hardcopy and text messages of my bookings that I received from GoIbibo.com I was denied any room. After waiting for a long time and insisting a lot we were allowed to check in. The rooms are just okay and rates are overpriced. There is one so called discotheque and is terrible. There is hardly anyone over there except the DJ !! Linen provided to us was not clean and hotel staff was not cooperative at all.
Average Hotel, far from beach. Near to market.

We went there for a friends get-together. So the hotel was not our foremost priority. So we were happy and satisfied with the hotel and the room we got. We had booked 2 rooms but while check-in the manager suggested us to go for a suite room as we were 5 friends staying together. The suite room was big enough, with 2 seperate rooms. Standard amenities like AC, LCDs, bath-tub, bed, linen, etc. were included. Clean and neat. Nothing to complain. The hotel also has a small disco, where they were having a small Gujju crowd enjoying typical bollywood item numbers.
Property also has a small swimming pool which is next to the restaurant. Parking space is nearby, but not guarded, so there might be a risk to the vehicles.
The owner Mr. Samir Khoja, is a young and fun guy. And we were happy to meet and interact with him. He also promised us a trip to a nearby waterpark (owned by them) but sadly, we could not go due to shortage of time.
Lastly, the location is in the city and far away from popular beaches. But its close to the local shops, so you can buy stuff from there (including Liquor, which is cheap in Daman)
Overall a nice experience.
