The hotel is located very close to the main market area. So if interested in shopping and walking around the market tasting various local flavours then this hotel is ideal. Rooms are small but are clean and has most basic facilities. Wifi was very irregular during my stay. Restaurant service was very slow though food preparations are nice and tasty. Complimentary breakfast is on ala-carte basis from a fixed menu, in which most noticeably fruits are excluded.

Stayed here for two nights n three days (13th-15th August) and it was great. The rooms might look small but you have everything in place. The bathroom was squeaky clean. There is a restaurant downstairs but we preferred eating in our room cuz we have an infant with us. The food is a bit costly but they don't compromise with the quality or taste. Their crispy chilli chicken was amazing. It was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Everything was Totally worth the money. Also the location is great as it's located on the rajpur road, which is like the main road and all the market and shops are around.
We even booked our taxi for mussoorie from the hotel and they were really courteous and helped us get a good deal.

This place was a signature for success in Dehradun and used to be an eptiome of luxury and royal ambience, the bar once used to be decorated and themed as a polo bar, the food is awesome and dceentlynpriced as compared to prices of other citites V ery hygeinic food as you often see the owner Mr Chugh himself standing in the kitchen and checking the servings. Still being maintained well.

You will get little food for more money...also the quality of food is below mediocre and service is average. Being a native of Dehradun, this place is quite over rated...so you better visit at your own risk!!

Took my Spouse out for lunch to celebrate her birthday. Decided to try out Hotel President for the same.
The ambiance was good and soft. Settled for a chilled fresh lemon drink followed by an Indian menu for lunch. The food served was hot and tasty. Value for money.
The Staff highly courteous and properly trained.
A fabulous outing.
