Situated right in the middle of Mahabaleshwar Market this hotel offers a fairly low level stay as compared to the price they charge. Pros of Hotel - 1.Humble & Co-operative Staff, 2.Location & Accessibility.
Cons - 1. Bad Housekeeping, 2.Rooms and property are nowhere close to what is shown in pictures, 3.Food in the restaurant is ok ok, 4.Cleanliness in the kitchen is also bad, 5. High Price, 6.No Lift, 7.Dirty bed linens and smelly blankets
If at all i would have had the option to change my booking i would have surely shifted to another hotel

Very nice place.. the staff is very cooperative . I loved the food they serve at there restaurant Rahi Shivsagar. I always visit this place whenever I go to mahabaleshwar. Will definitely recommend others to visit.

Memories of Mahableshwar and all thanks to Rahi plaza and its staff to make it a memorable..its a newly renovated hotel bang on the market place.. Thanks to Ravi housekeeping one for taking good care of me..overall a very nice stay..

It is in the mid of the main market. Hotel is not neat and clean as i have expected. Rooms are some what congested yet it provides good room service. It's Manager Mr. Dhananjay is very much supportive and polite. For stay prefer in a scenic view not in a market.

Contrary to the mostly negative reports on all websites, We [with my wife & 2 year old daughter] decided to stay at Rahi Hotel @ Mahableshwar, headed by Mr Shetty a try for the 26th-29th 2017 jan weekend. Below is the detailed feedback
1) Check In: Managed to check in by 9 am as per the hotel rules. No complaints.
2) Rooms: If you are on a tight budget [just like us], this hotel can be the ideal option for you. For 1500-2000 INR per day, rooms are decent enough to accomodate a family of 3 [1 Single + 1 Double Bed in almost all deluxe / ordinary rooms], with a self contained wc style toilet, hot running water for nearly 2-3 hours in the morning, colour tv and adequate lighting & ventilation.
We had the front facing room on the 2nd floor.
Agreed few of the lights were not functioning in our room, agreed their toilets are bit old fashioned and lack hands free / toilet tissues, agreed they may / may not give towels daily, agreed they dont have in house kettle / mineral water similar facilities, agreed bedsheets were not shining like safedi ki chamkaar & all, but is that the reason one visits a hill station ?
For such high end facilities, one can surely hit those high end & pricy hotels in & around the town, where you can enjoy the hotel and their spa, jacuzzi etc rather than enjoying the nature and the natural activities. You don't go to enjoy a hotel for their services when you are at a hill station.
3) Staff: Helpful and co-operative. If you are going to complain about child labour, well that exists in each and every other hotel, be it a top star restaurant or a high end hotel. Either one spots it or one doesn't, so just stop creating a furore over it.
Property is situated hardly 100 meters away from the ST Stand and at the start of the market, which is a major advantage. All other restaurants, chikki stores, ice cream outlets, st stand, parking lot etc are less than 100 - 200 meters from Hotel Rahi.
Giving a negative opinion ain't an issue, issue is complaining about every damn small thing that bugs the so called fellow travellers.
However, that's my personal opinion. Can surely recommend this place to those genuine travellers, who are more interested in venturing out & exlporing the city & its beauty rather than staying indoors the entire day & simply crib about "isme ac nahi hai, garam paani 2 ghanta hi aata hai, shower nahi hai main nahaunga kaise, main mineral water hi peeta hoon" wala crap..
