The hotel Ram international was the cheapest available on a popular travel website. I was skeptical whether the hotel would be good. To amazement found it par high from the budget.
Overall a good stay at heart of the city at a VFM price.
It is nearby Pothys and a commercial-street. The few to do in Pondicherry are within 3 to 4 kms from the hotel

Very pleasant check-in experience. Hotel Room and bathroom were very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Stayed with family. Though room size was a bit smaller for family, it was good value for money. Hotel is conveniently located in the market street and is close to most of the tourist place in Puducherry.

Had booked through a popular online site for a double room here. Price was slightly low. When saw from outside it was ok. Located near pothys shop on a busy shopping street. When shown the room, my partner and I were very disppointed. Very small room and bed. Bad linen was unchanged from previous stay. Bathroom floors were unwashed. Checked out immediately

Hotel is in close vicinity of shopping district and beaches - several eating options however finding good north indian food is a challenge like most other places in south.
Staff is friendly and rooms are ok.

Staying at Ram International was a good deal for me as I stayed there with my friends.Let me list down the benefits of staying there, Cheap - Stay at a very reasonable cost with fairly good infrastructure, even the restaurant at Ram International is cheap, so if you are looking to stay at a cheap place , with good conditions and have cheap food hotel Ram is your place. Great Location- It is located very close to Mahatma Gandhi Road and Promenade Beach , which is a great marketplace, has few of the historical sites and awesome restaurants!
Now let us get to the bad part: Awful service: the staff is rude, very rude, no prompt service, we asked them to get water and they sent it after 4 hours.
But again Ram International is a good place to stay with a few adjustments.
