Unfortunately cannot say too much positive about this property, we left after two nights (had paid for three). Room was very noisy, situated next to main road (SS 113); air conditioning was controlled from front desk, despite complaints room remained too hot; no hot water whatsoever for our stay; strong smell of sewage in open area adjacent to room; internet only works in the open area with strong sewage smell; restaurant closed, nearest food 1.2 km away. Front desk staff attitude very dismissive -- despite good English, shrug of shoulders simply not acceptable. Christian the breakfast man the only positive from a stay to be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

All the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are excellent. The breakfasts and lunches were outstanding and all the staff were extremely kind and friendly at all times. The location is perfect for exploring western Sicily by car - a real 5 star holiday!

We just spent a wonderful 2 weeks here with our 2 children. The hotel is beautiful, excellent spacious rooms with high ceilings & are cleaned daily, great big pool and also a small one for children - the owners are informative and polite people.
The hotel has just been handed back to the owners a few months ago as previous management did not maintain the hotel the past 3 years - this is why there are quite a few bad reviews from previous years but don't base your decision to stay here on those - I can tell you that it's quite the opposite.
If I had some suggestions to improve it, I would do the following: change the sunbeds to something more comfortable, change the umbrellas to the latest design as the wind blows them into the pool (potentially dangerous), offer a better quality more interesting lunch as we preferred to go out for lunch, better control the wasps as it was sometimes difficult to eat with them swarming around us, especially the children. You should also consider planting some palm trees at the back of your pool to mask the motorway view!
All in all, we had a great time and would definitely come back.

The hotels website boasts haut cuisine eating. Maybe ,but not in their resaurant. They dont have one. At least if they do, it isnt open. We had to go out to eat each night, in early September, to either a pizza place a kilometre away, or into the nearest towns, from 6 or 7 km. It should be made clear the restaurant isnt operable, for whatever reason; we were never told. Also, they have a 'games room' with sky tv on a big screen, but no subscription card available, so that there were more programmes on the tv in our room, which was worse than our freeview.Plus the wi fi only worked in the building, not round the pool or the grounds.In a good spot apart from the autostrada on a gantry visible and audible from the grounds.

We did not see the small "water not potable" sign taped to the left corner bottom of the mirror until the next morning. The staff said nothing about the water and nor does the establishment offer any bottled water except for what you pay for in the mini bar. If you don't have potable water, I feel 2 bottles of water should be provided. The sign needs to be bigger and centered on the bottom of the mirror to prevent this from happening to others. Well my husband drank more of the water than I did and was very sick for 2 days, ruining 2 days of his vacation, having to stay in bed. PROS: very nice place and staff otherwise. When we arrived we were very hungry, coming from the ruins, and the staff offered to make us nice sandwiches. Rooms nice and clean. I enjoyed sitting out in courtyard listening to the light jazz music in afternoon. Breakfast plentiful.
