Spent four nights here in August, the rooms were quite basic but comfortable. The bed was of a good standard with nice pillows. There was a super swimming pool in a secure area with a selection of sun beds and parasols. There were bicycles to hire which we took advantage of and thoroughly enjoyed our days hire. We ate at the hotel on two occasions and enjoyed the delicious food, we also had breakfast on three of the mornings and that was varied and tasty.
The staff were all very pleasant and Thiery the manager was very helpful too.
The hotel is in a very quiet area and some form of transport is necessary but it is a short distance from Avignon and even cycling there is easy.
We enjoyed our stay here and would possibly return one day.
Lovely quiet spot away from the crowds.

It took a bit of finding but was worth it! Lovely traditional hotel with good outdoor areas and excellent swimming pool. Very pleasant staff. Our bedroom was small, up 2 flights of stairs, presumable the bigger rooms were all taken. Very good evening meal and breakfast.
Wonderful place to rest

This wonderful small hotel is on a quiet island, next door to Avignon and other historical sights. I went there with a foot injury (an inflamed Achilles tendon had been bothering me for months) and within two days of swimming in the lovely pool and eating the delicious dinners and breakfasts I was cured!
The bedroom was just right, pretty and with plenty of storage space which I always appreciate. Weather was perfect so we didn't need aircon but it was working well and there was no dampness in the room or bedding, and a very comfortable bed.
My partner enjoyed the walking and there are also bikes to hire. My only cavil is that on our last night there were a lot of gnats in the outdoor part of the dining room; there was an insect-ocutor but it wasn't switched on for some reason. Being in a secluded spot not too far from the river Rhone, this was likely to be problem and should if possible be looked into.
Everything else was totally perfect and I am hoping to come again and bring friends. An added bonus was the quiet in the middle of August. There were guests, especially for the restaurant which is well known locally, but no crowds.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

I was forced to cancel my reservation for one night due to a serious personal situation that required my return home. I asked to the hotel if it was possible to avoid cost , because I notify 6 days in advance. Zero empathy, coldness and no service to help me.
I'm still waiting for them to answer me

On the green island of Avignon

We were trying to find a place to live during the busy season of Festival d'Avignon. Usually, we prefer to live in a city centre but decided to give it a try based on the availability and the excellent travellers' reviews.
It's located on the green Rhone island of Barthelasse away from all the bustling. For people without a car (us, for example), it can be a tricky way to get there. During our weekend stay, we got there once by a taxi (about 20 EUR), once by foot (which took about an hour - that's an experience only for those who do not bother walking by the dark roads with minimal lightning). And if you need to reach the city not by a taxi there's a bus option (15 min walk to the bus stop but pay attention to the timetable that you can find online).
The hotel itself is quite a charming place with an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant. I can't comment on those as we didn't try them but I'm sure they come in handy! The territory itself is green and relaxing with couple of places to rest and enjoy life.
Our room was comfortable and mid-sized with lots of leaves in the window. I didn't much like the idea of anti-mosquito window screen but I believe it is a necessary measure. Everything was clean, nicely furnished and well-decorated, including bathroom. WiFi signal was OK, no minibar. Speaking of cons, we were informed on the lack of AC remote control. As I like warm, I found the room quite cold to my taste. Of course, the host told us that we could ask her to change the temperature but since we arrived after midnight we just let it go. Plus, it's still a good idea to be able to manage the climat all the time not only on request.
Our host was nice and welcoming, stayed after reception desk hours to let us in. One night, we even took some beverages from the reception fridge without no one in there and were able to pay on check-out without any reproach.
The room price was rather hight but there were good reasons for that - Festival d'Avignon and last-minute booking (in 3 weeks).
I guess if you are looking into this hotel you don't mind to stay a little bit off Avignon and if it is your thing then it is a decent place to live.
