pnylenon 17/08/2017 21:27Overall very nice hotel. Location wonderful. You can tell that the SPA and pool area is newly done/renovated but the rooms are not. There is nothing wrong with the room, it is just a bit outdated. Very good service-minded people in reception, cleaning and SPA. Breakfast has a little too much to do I think - service there could be improved. Croissants to die for. The rest of the breakfast quite mediocre.
Great pool and good location
Clandy235on 25/07/2017 23:14The two key highlights of Hotel Riviera are its location - right opposite Castelsardo's little beach and easily accessible from the highway - and it's pool; calm, sizeable and exceptionally well kept. These two factors mean we would recommend the hotel to other visitors looking for a combination of relaxation, exploration of Castelsardo and the broader area, and value for money.
The hotel itself is pretty simple, but clean and generally comfortable (with the exception of the shower which is so small, pretty claustrophobic, my partner couldn't stand up in it.) Average decor. The included breakfast is fine, although quite a limited choice, and many elements had often run out.
Hotel guests get 10% off the restaurant (Restaurant Fofo) - featuring a pleasant dining terrace with beach views. We made the mistake of opting to eat in the adjacent bar area (also with beach terrace) however despite ordering from the provided Restaurant Fofo menu, inc the same prices and the food arriving from the same kitchen, they wouldn't give us the discount - which seemed rather meany and a real disappointment. That said, the pasta was very nice, and definitely worth a having for a lunch or dinner, just be sure to eat it a few tables along in the official restaurant.
A couple of the staff were friendly enough, although a couple really weren't that helpful (e.g. when the wifi went down, when looking for help with taxis/restaurant bookings).
They offer parking for €10 a night. Very expensive. You can park pretty easily for free on the street.
It's definitely a satisfactory place to stay, and I think a very good option for a visit to Castelsardo, a charming historic Sardinian town.
Comfortable, friendly & clean
Paul Pon 18/05/2017 07:51Take a room with a balcony and a beautiful view on the city and the castle if You want to spend an extra 20 euro per night. The view is worth it.
The lady who checked us in saved us 10 euro per night on parking cost by showing a parking place for free on 50 meters from the hotel.
Swimmingpool is great.

The room was typical hotel room with a bathroom - could have been anywhere in Europe. It was clean and comfortable
However our view up to the castle was amazing
It did have a pool and I think a spa area but we didnt have time to use

Geweldigon 25/04/2016 14:21The sea- and castle- view is verry wonderfull and Nice, when you sit on your balcony thinking of the Nice things you see in castelsardo. We Will hopefully come back and then eat at the restaurant at number 5 in the same street. Now we were 3 days before opening.
