Superb facilities. Mind blowing food. Superlative service. Great staff. The best views of the winterline and the valley. Awesome location away from the crowd. The hotel takes you back in time back to the days when life was simple and stress free. The decor and ambiance are astounding. Words cannot describe the awesomeness of the property.

This review had to be put up about 10 months earlier, I've finally found time to pin it down. I am still dizzy from my stay at Rokeby and can smell the fresh air at Landor while I am writing this review.
Rokeby is one of the most amazing properties I've stayed at. Not in terms of luxury but character. There is something special about this hotel that will keep bringing me back. One needs to experience this. Located in the beautiful Landor away from the crazy crowds of Mussorrie. Rokeby Manor takes you back in time of an era long gone. The main building is an old English manor. Rustic and so full of character. It houses their restaurant, suites and a few rooms. We stayed in their suite for the initial part of our stay. The views are of the mountains beyond. The best part of the suite is the balcony. Lovely to sit outside and soak in the fresh air. If you are a couple I highly recommend the suite. Though mind you, it can get a bit noisy if there are too many guest as its located to the stairs to the restaurant. Towards the end of our stay we had to move rooms as the suite was booked. I dont remember the category but a nice charming room with no views.Luckily it was for only 1 night so we didnt mind it. The food at the hotel is outstanding. We tried their continental and Indian selection and everything was fresh and delicious. The service can be a bit rustic but still extremely efficient and eager to please. The breakfast is a limited selection but one doesn't mind. I must mention the breakfast area is simply lovely. It has views of the trees and mountains, very cheerful.
I highly recommend Rokeby to travellers looking for looking for something more. The hotel is warm and full of character. It has that personal touch which most modern day hotel chains lack. Despite all the snags Rokeby will leave you with a lasting impression.
I must mention Char Dukan which is around the corner from Rokeby. Its magical in the evenings to sit here and sip some tea and soak in the views. We visited Rokeby in Nov/Dec when it wasnt crowded. The evenings were nippy but still pleasant to sit out. I can't wait to visit again.
Beautiful Property!

If in Mussoorie do visit Landour.
And in Landour Rokeby is worth a visut.
The property is well located. There is a lovely walk around La Tibba as well as other pretty possibilities.
The food is delicious. With good service.
Rookeby Manor - Most charming and quaint

Rokeby is a gorgeous property. While the property is not huge with sprawling lawns, It has a lot of character and is quaint, charming and cosy. Its tucked away in a part of Mussoorie that makes you feel like you are in Europe. A little church down the road, green forests around and flowers everywhere in the property. The rooms are cosy and very pretty. The food is outstanding. A special reference needs to be made of the sticky toffee pudding. Staying here is always a beautiful experience in every way.
