Nice clean hotel

This was a very nice clean hotel, while the breakfast buffet was advertised as a European style-it was more on the Japanese style. Beds were firm, English was a little bit on the lack side. But the staff was great also.
Perfect in every way

It's close to the Shinkansen Railway, just across the street. Located away from Akita the bustling city nearby. This small town is the perfect rest spot - away from the maddening crowds. The hotel has a Japanese Furo (bath) to soak in, the room is rather small but isn't that the case with most hotel rooms in Japan (in a three star hotel)? The buffet breakfast is simply to die for - Japanese food on offer, Western food also on offer and a complimentary coffee anytime of day. The staff are helpful as I needed a smaller pillow and they found one for me. There is a laundromat down the hall, vending machines, a large screen TV and wi-fi connection, also an ironing board for your trousers. The Japanese know how to treat visitors - we can all learn from them as to how to become better and kinder and more considerate people. We stayed here 4 nights, had a Japan Rail Pass that took us to surrounding areas, and lakes. Also visted Odate (Hachiko was born there - if you haven't seen the movie with Richard Gere get it 2009 called Hachi - A Dog's Tale - and have a box of kleenex nearby). Also visited Lakes with changing colours, old Samurai town and tomorrow we are going to the port....all these venues are accessible thanks to Japan Rail Pass. Don't eat too much & enjoy your stay!
Very nice and reasonably priced hotel at a convenient location.

The hotel's location was excellent . You can have easy access to different tourist spots such as Oyasukyo in Yuzawa, Kakunodate , or Tazawako. The room I stayed at was clean, comfy , and spacious enough . I soaked in the hotel's big bath to ease my tiredness of the journey although I had a T&B in my room. The buffet breakfast was also wonderful!
The Route Inn is an above average, well located hotel.

Having been to Omagari several times, I have found the hotels there are usually pretty basic. This time I stayed at the Route Inn for 9 nights and found it above average. Rooms were new and comfortable. There was a guest laundry and a relaxation room with a big TV. The complementary breakfast and coffee through the day were great. There are refrigerators in the rooms and a large supermarket just several minutes walk down the road, allowing you to avoid restaurant eating if you want. The Hotel is well located being no more than 150 metres from the train station and opposite the post office. Several good inexpensive restaurants are next door.
