The location is perfect and the staff is really friendly. The room is huge and it's possible to see the river from the window. We had a great time in this amazing city and we will certainly return someday.

We decided to visit Cesky Krumlov on the spur of the moment while on holiday in Prague. We searched hotels.com and found a suite available at Hotel Ruze for a reasonable price for a one night's stay. We arrived at about noon and were told check-in is at 3:00 pm and there are ABSOLUTELY NO EARLY CHECK-INS, but the hotel would watch our bags while we wandered the town.
We returned at 3:00 and found our suite on the 3rd floor. Upon arrival we found a complimentary bottle of champagne, snacks and water in a very charming 16th century period designed room with a beautiful view of the river out of the one very tiny window in the room. The room was spacious and was well appointed with period antique reproductions, two very uncomfortable beds (one queen and one twin), table and chairs, and miscellaneous useless furniture. The floors were creaky bare wood but felt good on the feet. The bathroom was adequate, but somewhat dated.
This hotel was rated 5 stars...5 stars by Cesky Krumlov standards, but most likely a 3 star hotel by world standards.
All in all, our stay was charming, adequately comfortable and enjoyable.

We brought a small group here - picked this Hotel from Tripadvisor comments and they were not wrong - This is a lovely hotel. Very old style but lovely large rooms Though twins can be a bit close together. Lovely (old) furnishings good bathroom and shower comfy beds and doonas. Its very close to the central square 3-3 mins walk and 10 mins at the most to the Castle. The Ruze has a lovely breakfast buffet with everything incl roll mops , salmon Cold meats as well as an egg station. Had a good meal in the Square last night

As you can see it is cute and wonderfully themed. Beautiful decors. With the old infrastructure comes with incredibly loud creaking floors. You can barely sleep if your roommate walks around or imagine hearing the floor above going to bathroom.
The part that bothers me is that the hotel provides very little. No water kettles, staff was rude when I asked for a toothbrush, I was surprised at the service. Staff looks NOT happy.
Hotel (visitor?) cat is very beautiful and huggable. Window view can be amazing.

Extremely good location with a great village view. Hotel Ruze definitely with historic. Thanks the upgrade that we stay a night in suite. But a little bit big for two of us. The air-condition not work, Luckily we are staying in autumn .
