Basic, no fuss hotel. Rooms small, no AC, but with large fan. Room was kept very clean - breakfast is available at 9 Euro’s - there are however a lot of supermarkets and bakeries around, which is a much better bet than having a basic Parisian hotel breakfast. Only recommended if you don't mind a basic hotel, and won't be spending much time there.

Please if you are considering staying here, think again. It's by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I didn't expect a whole lot as it had a 2 star rating but giving it a 2 star would be a leap. First we were treated by the most unpleasant desk personnel then when we got to our room it was like walking into a closet with a window. There is no air conditioning, the bathroom stunk, it was so small the shower head couldn't face downward so we had to hold it in one hand while we showered. Thank god there was a window at least with that open it didn't smell to bad although lots of noise till about 3am. The ceiling was caving in over the door oh and when you go out you are required to leave your key at the desk, a great concern for the safety of my belongings.
We now look back at our vacation and we can laugh but I hope this saves anyone from making a terrible mistake.

We stayed 4 nights there and not as good as two stars hotel.
Not clean enough .. we found hair and dust everywhere .
The toilet seat was broken and when we complaint, they fixed with duct tape.
The breakfast was ok but not that fresh .
The pillows were so hard and the room was freezing. When we tried to use the heater it did not work.

Don't be put off by the "seedy" reputation of the area of Pigalle. The hotel was warm, clean, and welcoming. Our rooms were small, but warm and cosy with with clean ensuite facilities. The rooms had a small table and chairs, so you could "picnic" here nicely. The staff were all very welcoming, and appreciated our attempts at the French language which, I think, encouraged them to help us. We visited out of season, so the area was less busy, but we were surrounded by great small family -run restaurants and we enjoyed great food and atmosphere. Great value.We were never made to feel uncomfortable in the area. Coming from CDG take the train to Paris Nord. It's about 15 minutes on foot. ( avoid difficult taxis) Next visit I will take a travel kettle, though the buffet breakfast wast lovely, and good value,I like a caffeine fix when I wake up.

We stayed at the St Georges Lafayette for six nights in October. Our room was cosy and clean and had all the essentials for our needs. We were fortunate to have a small balcony which looked over the hotel's rear courtyard. The best thing about the hotel is its location, which is only a two minute walk from Pigalle metro station, and a five minute walk from a large Carrefour supermarket. Overall, great value!
