My fiance and I had planned on 4 days in Rome. After 1 day we had to get out. We found a place close by (1.5 hrs by train) and took off. We used tripadvisor to find this hotel and booked from the train. The hotel was a delight! A big room,.lovely common areas, big outdoor area for reading a book or having a coffee. The staff are lovely and friendly. A delicious breakfast each morning is included. We would love to stay again.

Comfortable nicely decorated old-style hotel with plenty of plants and a warm ambience, located at the edge of the old town right within the city wall and close to the bottom-station of the subterranean free escalator that whisks you comfortably and effortlessly to the top of the city. The hotel was easy to locate with our GPS. Friendly multi-lingual reception staff. We had a medium-sized comfortable room with tiled floors and ceilings painted with the pervasive and pretty avian theme found in many parts of the hotel. Nice interior courtyard with potted plants and trees, including a fish pond. Good free breakfast including for the first time on our trip some egg varieties. Good free wifi also, the car can be parked in the private garage of the hotel for a charge of eu12 per day. While you are not in the midst of the town, with the escalator every part of the old town is easily reachable and the location ensures a quiet sleep. Overall a very comfortable and pretty place, definitely well to recommend.

Very nice hotel with beautifull court yard near the centre of spoleto. You can walk to all the city attractions. Hotel has comfortable rooms and very helpfull and friendly personnel. Birds are singing in the bar where you you have large sofa's and a lot of books to choose from. More like a living room in old times. Very cosy. The have parking space as well. Breakfast is ok but nothing special.

Spent two days and very charming! Lovely sized room on the top floor and good continental breakfast! Located by the outer wall and only three minutes from the travelator that takes you to the top of the town and is free to use. It closes at 9.00 pm during the week! Great place to stay to explore this amazing place!

A touch of the Faulty Towers about this hotel but we really enjoyed its charm. Interestingly located at the bottom of the hill but close to the escalators that take you up into town so very handy.
We did not have a booking and arrived in the evening but the gentleman on the front desk was very accommodating, showing us a couple of rooms and giving us some good local info on getting around and a great restaurant tip.
Rooms, including bathrooms, were large and clean.
Highlight for us was the breakfast, one of the best we had on our trip. One of our party thought the strudel was the culinary highlight of the trip, go figure.
