Not to everyone's taste but we liked it...
Wanderwoman19on 18/06/2017 21:42We'd booked this hotel for our last stop so we could be near the airport for our flight home. It is different. Different in terms of the decor in particular. It is what could be described as a stereotypical perception of Scandinavian simplicity - IKEA on speed. The welcome at reception was very friendly and helpful with Milly giving us lots of useful information, including help with petrol stations when we left. Even though we arrived early our room was ready and we settled in.
The room was clean, ultra modern / minimalist, sensors in the bathroom turn the lights on which, when you think about the midnight excursion to said bathroom, makes sense as there's no accidental illumination of the entire room! The telly was the smallest I have ever seen, set in a large mirror of which there are quite a few in the room.
The shower was powerful and hot, it just made a lot of the bathroom wet. We also at eat the restaurant (which i have reviewed separately). Breakfast was fine. Lots of choice everything from cereal to fruit, pastries, cheese, cold meats and hot options. It served our needs fine.
All in all a pleasant stay, but just for on night.

MrRwFron 13/06/2017 21:08The location of the hotel is a little bit outside of Pisa, a 10 minutes taxi ride at most, so not far at all. It's near a very large hospital if a suburban area which in itself holds no interest. There are no amenities nearby but we knew this before arriving,
The reception staff were very friendly and informative, as other have mentioned.
But horror, we were allocated the room 101, it only lasted about 1 hour before we were forced to request a room change. The room is on the ground floor, and is located just inside a large door which to the small corridor. The large door makes a lot of noise and is used frequently enough that is quickly becomes a headache.. This is the first time in my life that I have ever requested a room change, I normally accept small inconveniences but this was catastrophic.
The reception staff were extremely understanding and even though the hotel was quite full the gave us an upgrade to the 2nd story room, the 307 which was more than fine.. Thanks must be given for their attention.
The hotel itself is very clean, maybe a little too clinical though, the contemporary style of the rooms does not lend to a cosy or comfortable feeling and the walls are paper thin. It's a modern building but it does not have a quality feel to it...
We did not spend too much time in the hotel and honestly it is not the kind of establishment that one would remain in for the day.. It is fine for a evening or two at most..
We returned in the evening for cocktails and had a great conversation with the barman, he was very welcoming and interesting.
Breakfast was good, but the idea of coffee being served from a tap in the wall was not appealing...
Would I use the hotel again, probably not.. It wasn't bad but for me it was a 3 start plus rather than a 4 star...
Lovely hotel with the kindest staff ever
SaraTexITon 12/06/2017 21:41I stayed here for 2 nights while attending a course at the Cisanello hospital. Despite being here for business everybody spoiled us like if we were on holiday. The restaurant is excellent, the bar serves signature cocktails, the guys at reception are very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious with adequate toiletries. The only improvement recommended: the procedure to get wifi requires a few passages and keeps disconnecting. The city centre is 15 minutes away by bus or a short ride by taxi. The surrounding area is very quite. There is a shuttle to a swimming pool and some very nice garden on site.
New to Pisa and they were so helpful
T Oon 10/06/2017 19:40The people at the front desk told me how to find the nearest ATM (at the hospital - a place I would never have ventured to on my own). They also turned me on to texting for a taxi since I speak no Italian.
It is not near central Pisa as it is near the airport and I welcomed the free ride they gave me when I needed to go there.
Don't believe all you read in the brochure
littlerae0fsunshineon 08/06/2017 16:02Lovely modern hotel with great facilities, including a fine dining restaurant, but no shuttle bus to the train & no electrical "adaptors" available - as stated in the room's information brochure. And NO English speaking TV channels!!
