It was smooth check in, good breakfast and overall excellent attention by all employees. The human talent is a great value in San Silvestre. Nice room with nice amenities. I recommend to go San Silvestre.
Excelent

The hotel is very nice and the customer service is great from everyone especially from Francisco who works as the manager at the kitchen department I assumed. The room was extremely nice and comfy. Breakfast was unbelievably good and We loved the fact that this is located inside the shopping mall so that was just awesome! Thank you for everything. The only things to improve is improving the WiFi connection and having a shower at the roof top, not inside the sauna, but outside. Thank you!
Decent nights lodging

During a recent motorcycle tour of Colombia I stayed here for one night. The rooms are good with a comfortable mattress and they are very clean. Meals can be found within the complex that this hotel is located. Very secure and we did not worry about our motorcycles at all.
Very nice hotel and location

I wouldn't call the rooms "suites", but they are large and well laid out. I was there for a total of 14 nights over 2 trips in December 2012. The only issue I had was one day the A/C stopped working. I told the front desk and in less than 15 minutes they had it working again. The electrical breaker had tripped.
Someone mentioned "not to take anything from the refrigerator" (minibar). I'll add to that that the tray of items in the bathroom is similar. I thought they were free (no price tags), so I used the small bottle of mouthwash only to find out about 2 days later that it wasn't "complimentary" since someone finally replaced the "price list" that was missing. I didn't try to argue with the front desk about the couple of dollars. It just wasn't worth it to argue about it.
The WiFi was reliable in both rooms I was in; maid service was reliable everyday. I had laundry done once; it was picked up in the morning and delivered by 5:30 pm the same day. The restaurant is reasonably priced, but is really never very busy (unless a party is booked, which is rare except around Christmas time I think). The only negative comment I have about the hotel is that the hallways are dark at night. They use motion sensors to turn on the lights when you walk down the hallways, but they're fluorescent lights that don't come to full power immediately. So, the hallway is very dark all the way to your room.
It is nice that the lobby is on the 4th floor of the mall. There is a separate elevator and entrance for the hotel just ouside the mall entrance, which always has a doorman. You also need your room key to go to any floor that has rooms, i.e. you can go to the hotel lobby without a room key, but no other floor. The room keys are white "proximity cards" and have no writing on them, so you just have to hold the card next to the lock for it to open; you don't have to insert it into a slot. That's good because at night I wouldn't have been able to see a slot to insert the card.
As someone else mentioned, the mall has a gym, a casino, a cinema, a big food court, an Avianca Airlines office (open in the evening too), many shops, and a Carrefour (a full service supermarket), as well as ATMs on the second floor near the Carrefour. Also, there were always taxicabs outside the mall entrance by the hotel. I had a driver, so I didn't use any cabs, but they were always there when I came out. If you've never driven in Barrancabermeja, I strongly urge that you don't. There are more motor scooters than cars and they're always darting in and out of traffic. I'm sure I would have had an accident (probably more than one).
There is little English spoken in Barrancabermeja, but everyone in the hotel, the mall and elsewhere are very friendly and try to help. My Spanish was good enough to get me through most situations, but if you don't speak any Spanish, I think it would be much more difficult.
I will definitely stay here if I go back to Barrancabermeja.
Don't take any things from refrigerator!

This hotel is quite nice and comfortable. Cleanliness is priority and security as well. In other side, being to be very secured sometimes the security guy locked the first floor glass door in morning, so I must go inside the centro commercial then take the lift to 1st floor (and vice versa).
This hotel is located inside the centro commercial, so it is easy to find any meals in 3rd floor or maybe if you need something just go to 1st or 2nd floor, you can find Carefour. As I said in my title of this review, don't take anything from refrigerator, due to you can find those things in carefour with lower price. LOL. (The refrigerator is good, nothing wrong with it).
In the morning, the maid always take the laundry, even if i locked the door, she still can go inside my room. I don't know whether I locked the door improperly or she just being rude to take the laundry by neglecting privacy. There's no placard in the door said "busy" or some words meaning "no enter the room" for the maid.
One day, I need to scan some documents, and they have scanner. The receptionist can't speak English good (below poor) so I must speak Spanish, even must be completed with my gesture, but they are nice, welcome and helpful.
Try the "RICE WITH SEAFOOD" in this hotel's restaurant, that's amazing! Quite big portion, and worth it. If you can't understand Spanish very well, ask for English menu. So, you can choose freely your meals. The food is above average, really nice!
Have a good day in this hotel, any questions contact me!
