Kindness and silence

I join the enthusiastic club of guests of this nice hotel.
Rooms are fresh, air conditioned, well insulated from noises and often with a small terrace.
Free parking, logistically perfect for both enjoying Santa Maria Navarrese and the coast.
Staff is patient and kind. They are always ready to accomodate different requests speaking German, French, English.
Sun umbrellas are available for free.
Weird decision to charge you extra for coffees at breakfast.
Recommended.
Very nice stay

Stayed there one week: Good location (5 min from the beach by foot) and quiet. The staff is very friendly, breakfast ok. Rooms are on the smaller side but cool, which is very appreciated in summer. They also have a restaurant with nice food.
Good hotel for a short stay

The hotel is a bit away from the beach and has no swimming pool which is a pitty with the high temperatures in summer.
The beach is only 200 m away which is okay.
The rooms are clean and okay, very small shower but works well.
Breakfast is italian style and is in general okay but we missed some fresh cutted fruit in the morning.
Bar tender is very nice and helpfull.
We didn't take half pension so we can't give any comments on food quality in the evening but we saw people eating and it looked good.
Very quiet rooms
Value for money on a budget

We spent a week here. The hotel is 3 star. The room was spotless and spacious. We also had a small balcony with a little table and 2 chairs. My only gripe was that the sheets and towels were rough. They could have done with a good dose of softener. We had opted for half board. The breakfast was lovely. Cereal, yogurt, honey, jams, cheese, ham and fruit. The evening meal was 4 course's. The courses were very basic but the food was adequate for the money. Also you could go up to the buffet as many times as you want. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. We would definitely consider staying at the hotel again.
Excellent service, great breakfast, peace and quiet guaranteed

We recently spent two weeks in late September at the Albergo Santa Maria and loved the terrace where we had breakfast each day and the nice big room. The bed was huge (two beds together but didn't come apart) and the great storage space in the room. We didn't need all of it as we travelled with hand luggage but many people we saw took big suitcases on trolleys or large back packs. The hotel is used by quite few smallish walking groups and bikers. We liked the range of people. Most were German but we flew the flag for GB. We can recommend the large and wide range of food at breakfast, four or five kind of cereal, two yoghurts, boiled eggs, two kinds of decent bread, five jams, honey, cheese, ham or prosciotto, salame. Cake, croissants for cake lovers. Yes, you can see I like my food.
Valerio on reception speaks excellent english and was helpful and able to joke in English and no doubt in German, Sardinian and Italian.
We love pizza and can recommend the Tancau restaurant and the Tancau beach which we found to be much quieter than the one which you get free from the hotel. We also liked the sand better, sorry to be picky but there's some great sand at this end of the beach.
There's good ice cream in many places but we liked to go to the Hotel Agluiastra on the corner of the street near the Lungomare for coffee and gelato. The limone and amarena were lovely amongst other flavours we tried each evening.
We also found MeC Puddus was fun (fast food Sardinian style) althought the ordering system is a bit gimmicky. The buzzer is fun and the prices excellent. You can have burgers or cugliones or pizza or all three. They don't always come in the most sensible order but it's great value for money.
