What People are saying

Dont let its surroundings put you off!

Nice hotel in the heart of Naples. You can have breakfast either in your room or up on the roof terrace (which can be cold if before the sun comes out). No meats for breakfast though....even though they show a sausage on their photos!! :) Nice enough people in reception. Helpful. The surroundings of the hotel aren't anything toi look at, but its all safe there, so no worries! You cant get the free wifi in all rooms though..saw many people sitting on the communal stairs with their phones and laptops!

A hidden gem

Good value, clean and comfortable. Perfectly acceptable for a short visit, and I would happily stay there again if I visited Naples. It’s hidden away down a side street, but the advantage is it was quiet.

We arrived quite late, and the person on reception didn’t speak very much English so it was a bit difficult to understand what happened at breakfast time. We thought we had booked for 8.30am, but next morning they kept phoning the room from about 7.45am onwards, to tell us breakfast was ready! Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, and they have trays up there waiting for whoever turns up. The tray for 2 people consisted of 2 little cups of fruit juice, a jug of coffee, a jug of hot milk, 2 delicious filled croissants, some dried bread/biscuits in packets and jam. I guess they kept phoning us because they had trays up there ready, with the coffee getting cold!

We went out for a meal the evening we arrived, and the hotel recommended the little place next door, which was lovely. Nothing fancy, but very good food and pizzas. lots of locals there, which is always good to see.

The receptionist in the morning spoke perfect English, and arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport.

Overall, a hidden gem!

Room booked...in a different hotel

j0eyw50on 18/09/2017 15:52

I booked to stay in the hotel as a colleague was staying in the same hotel prior to catching an early flight out of Naples the following morning. On arrival we were informed that the manager would drive one of us to a hotel 500 meters away as the hotel didn't have enough space in the Sant Eligio. The other room was situated in a hotel elsewhere in the city and was located in an area which we had been advised to avoid. The room at the other hotel was exceptionally small.

The room in the hotel was fairly clean, the hotel did order a cab and provide an early wake up call. The experience overall however was unsettling.

Don't go!!! Located in the Ghetto.

Don't risk your life! Located in the mother of all ghettos. We didn't feel safe leaving the room and decided to book a new hotel out side of town.
Hotel was run down, shower full of mould, and dark dingy rooms. The man who met us at the door gladly watch our taxi driver rip us off beyond belief. Any good hotel would have stepped in to assist.
You were not aloud to take your key out of the hotel (can only assume this is in case you got robbed) you had to hand your phone over to get wifi code (wifi did not work in room only at reception desk) and you had to advise exactly what time you wanted breakfast. When we decided to leave the hotel (mind you we gladly paid in full) we were made to feel incredibly uncomfortable and questioned several times. The hotel had no change on premises to process our payment, (once again I can only assume this is so they don't get robbed) Mind you there was no safe in the room for us to lock away cash and passports.
Honestly - don't go, it's not worth it. Spend the bit extra and stay out side of Naples.

Basic

Cheap but quite basic... 15min from the train station and center. We got however a very small room for 3, and it was for handicaped people, which means the shower had no tub (water everywhere..) and was also tiny. The bed linen and towels were quite old (sometimes with spots on the bed). Breakfast not good at all and we had to say the exact hour when we were coming for breakfast. The staff was nice and helfpul, they gave us advice to visit but the hotel is not the most confortable one.
