We stayed here as a family and loved it. The service was excellent, from the owner to the front desk staff to the restaurant and cleaning staff. They have super fast wifi (we downloaded a movie from Netflix for our bus ride in five minutes!). Breakfast was included which was very convenient and simple but tasty (fried eggs, toast, fruit and coffee/juice). They have a small pool with hot tub and water slide which was great for our kids. The location is very good for exploring San Jose. Will stay here again.

My sister and I decide to stay here before a flight home the next evening. So happy we did. Warm greeting by David at the front desk. He had us in our room in no time...and what a beautiful room. Large, comfortable and a very large shower. So glad my sister found this historic hotel.

Everything you read in Hotel Santo Tomas' blurbs is correct. This is a wonderful place to stay in interesting central San Jose. Great value and friendly people run this place. Everything is simple and we'll made and the location is excellent for access to so much.

From my first visit, Tomas and the staff have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome here. Spotless rooms, hot tub, pool and gym with breakfast included. I have truly come to think of everyone at Hotel Santo Tomas as friends. Thank you Tomas, Jose, David, Rocio, Carlos, Keylor. I cant wait to see you all again!

Very nice hotel in the city center. Hot running water and nice rooms. Staff is good with gringos. It is close to a lot of nice restaurants and markets. Traffic can be a bugger from the airport so plan ahead.
