Very nice hotel with a great service. We would like to go to the hotel Again if we come to Wagrain for skiing. The dinners were very good, and we always look forward to every meal. (We have pensions included) There was a little bit of noice from cars in the day, but the hotel is in centrum.

A late Easter this year meant that we took a bit of a chance with the snow, but luckily we still had plenty of skiing, which was lucky because the food at the Schattauer was superb and we would otherwise have been pushed to burn off the calories. The Beer family were perfect hosts and the accommodation was great. Really enjoyed the relaxed, friendly environment and very professional and attentive service.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, our experience as guests at the hotel was wonderful.
All of the Familie Beer (Roland, his wife, and mother and father) are welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Their staff are a credit to them – friendly and efficient.
The location is spot on for the ski buses and central shops, bars and restaurants. We did not use the ski hire shop across the road but their prices seemed very competitive. I did however succumb to a new pair of après ski boots on the last day having looked at them daily as I went past. Great heated ski room right next to the rear steps.
We had a room at the back on the first floor – spacious and well laid out with plenty of storage. Very good shower and comfortable (and quite long) beds. Added bonus was the aroma of fresh bread in the morning from the bakery next door.
Breakfast and dinner were all very good – eggs cooked to order in the morning, dinner portions were not too overfacing, well presented and cooked with a tasty but light touch. Beautiful home made apple strudel on the last night served by Herr Beer and the starter and main course selections on the traditional evening were more than sufficient. The garlicky lamb was a particular favourite.
Great skiing in Wagrain, Flachau and Alpendorf – some nice top to bottom reds on the Flachau side, well linked high level runs on the Alpendorf side, all well connected, plus mountain huts galore. We particularly liked the Hachaualm, Groβunterbergalm, Gpifelstadl and Wagrainerhaus.
We had a car so also skied in Zauchensee and Hochkonig (about 40 minutes away each).

A nice stay with the Beer family. This was our 3th visit and good as always.
Nice people, good food and clean rooms. Just some smoke smell on the 'balcony'.
And the coffee doesn't taste very good.
They are very good with allergies.
