We had booked a different hotel which had cancelled our booking (computer error?) and so ended up here as a walk in off the street.
The entire staff were friendly and helpful, the place was clean and comfortable.
We had a superior room for 2 nights on full board and would certainly return. The room was spacious and bathroom recently refurbished with bath and separate walk in shower.
There were two negatives for us:
1) The bathroom/toilet door is glass and gives little/no privacy.
2) The sofa in the room is more like a bench with a cushion, more style than substance, two of the lounge chairs from the bar would have been far more comfortable.
3) Did not like the balcony glass screen repeatedly changing colour after dark although this is a minor personal niggle.
We have stayed in in many of the Servigroup hotels and the food has always been good with plenty of choice.

staff friendly, hotel clean and well looked after,food not hot in fact most times the food was not warm enough to eat,we spent 2 weeks there and it was not a pleasant stay for us as from 9.00 every night there was music of some disciption played at a very high level this was played just outside the bedroom windows and there was no chance to sleep until well after midnight ,the music vibrated through the windows ended up with head aches most nights,will not be going back

3rd visit to this hotel, food standards have dropped since last visit, cold bland & no variety of food. Hotel cleanliness, location & staff all this excellent. Local tramps living in walkway next to hotel & were very visible from our balcony when needing the toilet..

Had 10 days here when booked with jet screw holidays.
First impressions were nice unfortunately it went down bank, room wasn't too bad, but a nice view over the alley looking at homeless, down and outs and alcoholics all the time and who wants to watch them having a wee and more!!
Pool could have been cleaner and we got soaked when sunbathing when the odd job man decided to wash the area about 12.00 o clock..
Food was a joke, every thing which should have been hot was either cold or lukewarm, there was a microwave but I don't go on holiday to eat microwave food!!! This resulted in quite few euro's spent eating out. To sum up, very very disappointed

This horrible hotel okay nice to look at been there five times just get worse
The food is cold every evening the staff have there's first so every thing has all most been eaten so to get it hot you have to wait for them to put hot trays out
I will never go to the Diplomatic ever again
