Dr Chowdhari threw a big party at this hotels in house restaurant : The Boss. The than papaya salad , golden fried prawns and chicken fry was great .And so was the atmosphere.The hotel has just opened after a long period of strike.The rates are reasonable and the location and view are great.

The Manager at the desk was very rude in alloting rooms to us. They did not even give us extra mattress which was included in our package. He purposely gave the rooms on the 4th floor of the hotel (which has no lift) and with a senior citizen, we had a hard time. The rooms are average and few selected are good but very noisy ( not sound proof). Inspite of repeated requests, they did not even clean our hotel rooms which remained the same for whole day. Also, they used to not respond to providing towels / soaps for bathing and we managed somehow.
The only saviour is that it is close to market place. If you have family/senior citizen, be sure that you have hotel rooms on the lower floors otherwise you would have trouble climbing them and also they do not respond to basic requirements like towels etc.

Staffs are well behaved and cordial to accept you.You may have a discount bargain but you have to ask for it. Rooms are nice and well decorated but you may face problems in water supply. Foods in the restaurants are nice. But breakfast buffet is a horrible to experience. Honestly I never have such limited option buffet in my life. Apart from this this is very good positioned hotel in the center of Darjeeling.

This hotel is a good budget hotel. Its located very close to Keventers and is walk-able distance to Glenary's and Chowrasta. This makes it ave a location advantage. rooms from 3rd Floor have nice view of Kanchanjunga. Restaurant of the hotel provides nice food. Staff are good behaved. Hot water supply was there. Only con is the back side of the hotel which is some sort of dump yard for wasts. So while the view from window is of Kanchanjunga, if u lean a bit and look below, its not good. Though there was no fly or smell problem due to that.

This is a very good hotel on the club side taxi stand.Very nice,neat and clean hotel and restaurant.Very well behaved and polite staff.Food is good.Service is prompt.You can get excellent views of Kanchanjunga range from backside rooms.Location is good also.
