The Hotel Shelter at Gwalior is a value for money budget hotel. Clean and decent ambience. Food was decent.
Service was good. The Front desk was very helpful.
The owner himself was around that day and since we were walk in guests, he helped us get rooms through online booking on the spot.
I would recommend this hotel to visitors.

Stayed in the Hotel for two nights. The room allotted was OK but the balcony was shabby and useless as one could only see the wall of the opposite building. We changed the room. Room service was horrible. It is stated that there is a 24 hours’ coffee shop, but each morning it took more than half hour to serve the tea, for more than one reason. Bathroom is small. The entire staff from front desk to restaurant was indifferent to customers. There is no facility for drivers.
Will never stay here again

Hotel location is good and looks nice form outside. The service is not that good though. The rooms are not properly cleaned. We opted for Deluxe room with breakfast. They charge a lot as compared to the services. Room was spacious but bathroom was not clean and hot water was not coming. Breakfast had just 2-3 items and was disappointing. Do not recommend for more than 1 night stay

Free water/coffee/tea available in the hotel. In the morning you get to see lots of birds and squirrels from the balcony, loved it. Food was delicious (also had dinner) and everyone around was very welcoming. We enjoyed the very nice conversations with the owners.

I booked this hotel after seeing the building and area of the hotel. room was just okay which i accepted as i had to saty for 1 night only. the room service was the worst i have ever seen. i ordered food and rice. i was served with vegetable and roti and was informed that rice will be served soon, i finished my dinner and rice was served 10 minutes later after dinner. moreover i informed them that i wl have to go 7 30 in morning and called for tea and breakfast at 6 am but till 8 am not even tea was served. on complaining, staff said that it is too early for serving tea. i left hotel without tea and arranged the same on a small shop. i haighly recommend not to go to this hotel.
