We stayed here for one night in the Standard room. The rooms were small, with a very small window. Wardrobe handles were broken. Maintenance was not very good. The spring mattress was quite saggy.
Were 3 persons (travelling with a kid), and the hotel had only provided two pillows (no extra cushions). We requested for two additional pillows as my husband has been advised to use two pillows to keep his shoulder pain away. However the hotel staff said that they can only provide one extra pillow.
We have seen so many hotels where they provide atleast 4 pillows in the rooms, or have additional cushions in the rooms. But do not expect that at Shompen.
We also had dinner here on our last day here (though our room booking was in another hotel). The food was good. But the prices are quite high, like in the rest of the Andaman.

Shompen is a nice hotel, we had stayed there for three days. It is a good hotel with decent facilities. Their love garden restaurant which serves food and liquor with live music is very good.overall a decent hotel to stay.customer service was also good

A very friendly hotel. Staff were very welcoming and helpfull. Middle of Port Blair town value for money. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Bar was very good food top restaurant was excellent and the view from the rooftop is great. Restaurant staff are very friendly. They will make anything for you which is not on the menu. Fried fish was yummmmmy. I will recommend all my family and friends to come to this hotel. A 3 star hotel with 4 star service.

Good rooms.Perhaps a broken wash basin in one friends room. Good scenic rooftop restaurant.Very hospitable staff.Buffet breakfast which was good compared to other breakfasts we had there in andaman. Kind of close to all important visiting places

Although location is good, but hotel rooms are very small with noisy window ac and cockroaches. I had to stay here only for one night. Food was ok.
There are much better options available around.
You can hear noise from corridor, which can irritate you.
