Pretty little hotel, very good service
Anneke Von 04/08/2017 19:22We stayed 5 nights in this hotel, and we enjoyed it very much. The staff is very friendly and service oriented. The garden is beautiful, with lots of flowers, birds and at least one leguana. The hotel is small and quiet, which we liked a lot. If you stay here, you need a car to go to Samara Beach (5-10 minutes drive), because the beach near the hotel is too quiet (for us): nobody visits this part of the beach for unclear reasons. The pool is too small to be usefull. The room itself is fine, we had 2 rooms with a connecting door, which is nice when you travel with children. The breakfast is simple but very nice, 4-5 choices. It is possible to have lunch and dinner, comparable with other restaurants in Costa Rica. We would definitely come back here!
Nice place to stay, nothing fancy
Karen Oon 22/04/2017 03:41This is a mid-range hotel at the beach town of Samara. The photos on TripAdvisor are overly stylized. It is not a fancy place, but it is a perfectly nice place to stay. The front desk manager the first night seemed more interested in his phone, but after that day the desk clerk was wonderful and the maid was delightful. The restaurant served a small but decent breakfast every day. Overall a decent place to stay.
Clean, bright, pleasant
0904Timon 11/04/2017 18:42Leo (manager) was superb. Did EVERYTHING he could to make our visit comfortable.
Even accommodated when we asked for fresh caught fish for the following day's dinner.
Irene (pronounced Erennee) the hotel meal prep cook/chef also tried very hard, even though her kitchen's equipment was limited. Cocktails and beers reasonably priced.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, overhead fan quiet, and A/C worked OK.
Potential Is There
62goodoneson 05/03/2017 00:16The room was clean and large. The pool was very small and the grounds somewhat disappointing although there was a wide variety of tropical foilage. We stayed two nights and we had no hot water for showers either time. When we told the manager, he seemed blase and did nothing to smooth things over.
The breakfast was ok, serving at 7:30 am. There are no coffee makers in the room and the hotel is far from town, so, if you want a cup of coffee before that time, you are out of luck.
The property is a short walk from the beach, about two blocks. The rooster on the farm next door will make certain you rise at an early hour.
A hotel that reached and raised my expectations.
Giana2709on 23/02/2017 23:30I went back to visit last week and always amazed by the quality of the service, definitely they all go beyond to try to make me feel comfortable and safe. The restaurant in the garden, candlelights, torches and a good bottle of wine invited me to spend several hours contemplating beauty of the environment and the nature. I would definitely come back and recommend it full, I am extremely picky but they reached and raised my expectations.
