The hotel looked a bit old-fashioned and dated, but the room was nice and had a large balcony. The staff was very friendly.
The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool (very quiet in this period) and from the swimming pool you can walk 50 meters to the beach. There are comfortable chairs, beds and parasols on the beach, as well as at the swimming pool.
The hotel has a good restaurant, with reasonable prices. Also friendly staff!

We enjoyed our stay here and recommend this hotel. We stayed in a very large room with an ocean view and enjoyed the beach and the breakfasts. The wifi was excellent, and everyone we encountered nice. Hotel employees gave us excellent advice about where to go on Sant Antioco. Umbrellas and chairs available for rent. The hotel is about a ten minute drive from Calasetta. The price/value ratio superb.

We spent a few days in the Hotel Stella Del Sud in Calasetta in the Southern tip of the Island of Sardegna. The area is beautiful and deserves a visit. Beaches are beautiful, regional fish and other dishes are offered by local restaurants. . The Hospitality at the Stella del Sud Hotel was really wonderful, friendly and made us feel at home. The Hotel is located on the beautiful Spiaggia Grande. It has its own private beach and it provides Lounge Chairs and Umbrellas to their guests. Weather you want to hang out by the Hotel beach, take walks , explore the area or simply take a relaxing vacation, this Hotel offers it all.
Their breakfast is plentiful with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals and wow some croissants which are off the charts! Sergio, the breakfast waiter makes excellent cappuccino and coffee. The Hotel has a full menu restaurant which is open June through Septemper.
Ask for Andrea Congiu, he is the manager owner with his family, he cannot do enough for his guests!

Nice and welcoming exteriors, great position and beach accessibility, swimming pool is nice and a little more protected by winds than the beach, personnel professional and quite friendly, breakfast not huge but acceptable for a 3 stars. Room was clean, nice little balcony. Parking on site available.
Disliked:
Wifi didn't work in the room, swimming pool or veranda, only inside the restaurant and reception area, inside the hotel looks a little old, stained carpet in the corridors, in the room TV set was quite old and small, shower curtain made of plastic (which I don't like) and difficult to open and close.
Other general comments:
If you're thinking of a fairly nice, overall pretty quiet place, a little distant from town center and close to the beach this is a good pick. Need to have a car to get to Calasetta.

Four of us were touring Sardinia on Motorcycles and spent 3 nights at this hotel. It's within riding distance of some great roads as well as being located off the beaten track. We were there in the off season and the staff couldn't have been nicer, and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.
