Amazing vacation in this splendid hotel Sveta Elena

Tolia Aon 16/09/2017 12:07

This summer we chose Hotel Sveta Elena to be our holiday escape for my family. The children felt amazing in the kids pool and playground. Our All Inclusive package didn't lack anything. There was a special attention to details and tasty buffet. Staff surrounded us with special service and devotion. Pool areas were large and relaxing. We highly recommend and will come back soon with our friends.

Worst Experience ever

Nobody speaks english there. The manager didn't even wanted to talk with us, kept showing us the finger to wait, until I payed with the visa card. I kept asking what are the facilities and what the all-inclusive package really offers, he refused to talk with us until we payed everything in advance. Very bad attitude of the entire personel there. My worst experience so far. Half a roll of toilet paper in the room when we arived, and after that we have to constantly look for someone to provide toilet paper and fresh towels, because housekeeping didn't come in the room only after 3 days. Very bad food, just a few types to select from. Drinks are really just cola, juice and a very bad beer. You could only get drinks during meal time. When we asked for the POS receipt after I payed with the credit card, the manager looked like he doesn't know what we are talking about. The resort is dead, nobody there just a few people on the streets, it looks realy unsafe, the hotel is really far from the beach and very hard to get to even with gps directions. All the hotels surounding where we stayed offered evening activities for both adults and kids except this one. AC even at max speed and lowest temperature still coulnd't cool down the room, so in the night you get the feeling of suffocating. No balcony view, just the back of some near hotel and trees. Wifi doesn't work at all, only at the reception.

My worst hotel experience so far.

Worst hotel I ever stayed

grazzia_24on 06/04/2010 09:13

Hotel Sf. Elena (Sveta Elena) was the worst hotel I ever stayed. They said that is a 4* hotel but on my opinion this is a 2* hotel. I was there for the Easter 2010 and:
-the food was awful, actually there was no food; if you came at 8:30/12:30/18:30 you had to wait for some food, everything was empty
-the staff was very rude, they were very bothered if you had asked for a glass/ a bear although we had ALL
-at the Easter lunch they run out of the plates and we had to bring to the kitchen the plates in order to wash them and bring us something else
-in 4 days the towels were not changed, the rooms weren't cleaned
-1 day we stayed without toilette paper, I had to ask for it
-in 2 rooms the heating system wasn't working, our friends (with 2 children) received 2 more blankets
-the hot water was the warm water all 4 days
-the glasses/cups weren't enough for all the people
-the glasses/cups were different, all colors, forms
-the water from the inside pool was very cold and very dirty
-we were stocked on the elevator although we were only 4 person and I had to use the stairs most of the time
-at the check-out time they put us to pay for all kind of things that they said we had stolen; a small towel (30 x 30 cm) was 37 leva (all most 20 euro)

PS: I'll never come back there. I'm very disappointed about this hotel although I have a great image about Bulgarian resorts.

The hotel was not so bad at all

My name is Julia Paterson. Me and my friends spent a good time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very clean. The hotel was very peaceful and calm.
We will be back next year for sure.

Food was a nightmare

moonySofiaon 15/07/2009 16:48

The hotel is new, with large rooms, the swimming pool is great, too. But the restaurant is far beyond one can expect from a 4star hotel. I have never been in such an awful restaurant. A short time after the beginning of every meal, there was no food at all. So the guests of the hotel had to force themselves to run as soon as the food has been served. The quality of the food was very bad. The same was the sanitation, too. They washed the cups hastily only in some water, that is why the cups were never clean. The staff was impolite, indolent and always was grumbling. They were always tired looking of doing nothing. The food from the previous day was served on the next day. There were no fresh fruits, no fish, no chicken, nothing {paid for all inclusive}. Never more !
