Wonderful Moderately Priced Hotel/Spa/Restaurant

This was probably my sixth visit -- always pleased -- hard to beat. The only inconvenience is not being downtown but that is easy to work around. The standard rooms are not large but they are not cramped. Clean room, bedding and bathroom; WiFi; free self-parking; great breakfast is included; spa (e.g., pool, hot tub, sauna); dining on premises; easy check-in/out. The included breakfast is a great start for the day with a wide range of offerings. The occasional lunch or dinner at the hotel has always been excellent. If going into downtown to walk around or visit with relatives we will call a taxi cab (Hungary has 0% alcohol strict law). Affordably priced.
A WONDERFUL boutique Hotel

The Szarcsa Hotel is located about eight minutes drive from the Old City. As soon as you get ot of the car, you get into the court that is decorated in a rustic style with scarecrows and pumpkins. They get you immediately into the correct mood.
The Hotel itself is just perfect. The room we have had was spacious and very well equipped.
The beds were comfortable and everything immaculately clean.
There is an inner parking lot inside the Hotel's court, but if it is full, there is a much bigger public parking place adjacent to the Hotel. Both places are free.
The Hotel has its own restaurant that is just fabulous. Anything we had was wonderful, both the soups, the main courses and the desserts.
There are also an inside and an outside swimming pool, Jacuzzi and you can purchase massages too if you feel like.
The only drawback of the Hotel is that it is a little far from the Old City and you need a car for convenient transportation. Apart from this, it is just perfect
Lovely

Excellent value - although the hotel is located on the outskirt of Szekesfehervar, it was worth the stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room clean (although the shower was not perfect) with lovely furniture.
The mattress was very comfortable and the room quiet.
Breakfast was plenty with great variety but go easy on the omelette as it's very oily.
We will definitely stay again.
Nice place to relax, perfect location between Balaton & Budapest!

We've stayed more than 2 weeks in the Szárcsa Hotel this time, as we wanted to be in Székesfehérvár and between Balaton & Budapest!
Location = perfect, except if you want to visit the city center by foot, but you know this upfront. We've stayed previously already there couple of times but only for 2 days max.
Next to the very positive points, we've also encountered some negative points unfortunately. Let's start with the positive:
- Wonderful hotel, Beautiful & spacey rooms, Great (best) place for children! The family rooms are excellent!! Playroom for kids...
- Wellness area is super
- Private parking (although sometimes is more than full)
- Beautiful outside dining/breakfast area!!!
- Reception open day&night, always someone available
- Good air-conditioning & rooms can made fully dark
- Reservation, check-in & check-out was very fast & good. great!
Less positive points:
- The room was full full of dust!!! Even after a week, it was still there, we could write our names in it, everywhere :( After asking this explicitly +2 times, they had cleaned our room. Even a bed-sheet that was not clean anymore of our kids, we put on the ground, the cleaning team took it away, but did not put back a new/clean one :( So if we wouldn't have asked, we would not receive new bed-sheets for 2 weeks I guess, and the cleaning of the room is almost as good as not existing during our stay (sand coming from a shoe 1 of the first days was there on the ground all the time).
New towels/toilet paper every day, yes.
- If you're on the later side to have breakfast (9h30) there was almost nothing left to eat (no croissants and stuff). We saw multiple people complain about this.
- When arriving back to the hotel every day around 23h00 there was VERY LOUD music in the restaurant. We went to check if there was a party (then I can understand off course), but no, it was 1 waiter sitting alone at a table, with this loud music for himself. 3 days in a row, we had to ask to silence it down a bit. We could hear every word in our room of the songs... with 2 kids trying to sleep.
- Bed was very hard in our room (but this is just a detail... every room is different)
- Not a lot of place to put your clothes, if you're there for 2 weeks (minor issue)
- Last point: WIFI didn't work at all in our room! Asked this 2 times as well... but still no coverage at all.... unfortunately.
Still it's a lovely place!!
And if they can work on the above points, it can be one of the better Hotels in the large area!
Best Regards!!
Wonderful

Very family oriented hotel with a play room upstairs for children and also easels for children to draw at the restaurant. They have a wonderful hot tub, indoor and outdoor swimming pools with volleyball net, paddle boats for the pools, sauna, etc. Beautiful folk art on the walls. Beautiful rooms with balconies. Delicious food. We got to keep our car in the nice parking lot and our luggage in a hotel storage room after we checked out and we returned in the evening to drive to Budapest. My favorite hotel in Europe, besides hotels in Budapest.
