Great location for train station
kathyk0lon 27/06/2017 16:38We stayed here for its proximity to the train station for an early train. The staff were excellent, helpful and with good English. The room was on the small side but nicely decorated and with great views over the river and parkland. All the facilities worked perfectly, including fast wifi. As for its location, it is almost beside the train station! It is an easy and pleasant walk to the old town and has supermarkets, bars and cafes nearby.
Please refurbish the hotel and the staff
aj1354on 15/09/2016 06:56Oh dear! What can one write that is good? The receptionist was pleasant, but she was alone in dealing with a client. We waited 10 minutes to get our key. There was another member of staff behing a screen who appeared and disappeared!
The hotel room was in need of refurbishment - light off the ceiling, sink partially blocked (yes, I reported it).
Went for dinner at the appointed hour - 'sorry, not ready for you'; 20 minutes later we got what seemed to be tinned vegetable soup, folloed by a piece of unknown fried fish on rice, then completed with (yes, tinned) fruit salad. Yuk!
I'd advise only stay here if you're desperate!
Worst breakfast ever
Eastcliff_Richardon 11/09/2016 21:32Only stayed a night here, and chose it just on the off-chance. The common areas are bright and modern, but upstairs the hotel is showing its age slightly. That said, our family room was clean and comfortable.
What really let it down was the breakfast. Soggy, over-ripe bananas, awful coffee, weird juice and cheese which tasted of nothing. Do yourself a favour and have breakfast at one of the nearby cafes.
Great if in transit

This hotel is perfect and is 5 minutes to station, yet only 10 minutes to old town. The cathedral is magnificent and I suggest dinner outside at the adjacent Italian Restaurant as the sun goes down for a beautiful evening
Ok for one night
Audra Fon 07/08/2016 23:30If you are going to stay for more than one night you'd probably end up exhausted as the beds are not the best. Found someone else's tissue on the floor which made me think if the room was cleaned or not but other than that, good location and if you drive in, you can park the car near the train line on the side street for no cost! Staff were nice which always helps!
