Heavenly holiday!

We have just arrived home after 10 days at the amazing Hotel Torralbenc. The hotel was perfect in every way, faultless!
The attention to detail, service and environment couldn't be better. We felt cosseted and relaxed and fell under the spell of the place from the first day.
The pool is stunningly beautiful and the sun beds so comfortable everything in natural tones all blending with the natural environment. Food and drink is delivered poolside at the press of a button. The surrounding gardens and landscape are a feast for the senses exquisitely designed and maintained, there are herbs, olive trees, bougainvillea and jasmine everywhere and in the evenings the scent of the jasmine is almost overwhelming. The wild tortoises,
birds and butterflies all add to the magic of this Hotel.
The restaurant has a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere the team there are knowledgeable attentive and professional... the food sublime
and even though my choice was limited due to being lactose intolerant the team arranged for dishes to be adapted for me and they even provided almond milk for breakfast. The wine list was very impressive and wide ranging in price and choice but I mainly stuck to Torralbenc's own wines which were
excellent and went down a treat.
Vegetables and salad were from Torralbenc's own garden, they use their own eggs, bake their own bread
and use their own olive oil in the the food. There is a strong emphasis on the menu on local produce and dishes with a few international ones providing a good balance and variety.Even the herbs that boarder every pathway are used to infuse the bath products and candles
in the rooms.
In the main we ate outside for breakfast and lunch taking every opportunity to enjoy the wonderful environment, weather and views but as the evenings became cool dinner was inside, but I'm pretty sure it would be possible to enjoy eating alfresco in the summer.
We stayed in two types of rooms due to availability as we wanted a sea view which wasn't available till day 4. The move was done seamlessly..we came back after a day out and everything was moved.
Both types of accommodation were superb. The bathrooms in particular were huge and luxurious as were the beds and very comfortable. Being October it became very cool at night and we were provided with heating on request also a kettle was available.
We hired a car as the Hotel is relatively remote, for me that's part of its charm, but if you want a seafront resort type holiday this place isn't for you. Cala en Porter is nearby and walkable or you can use the bicycles available at the hotel to explore beautiful Menorca.
We had one day of rain and the hotel thoughtfully provided umbrellas hung just outside our door early in the morning enabling us to take the short walk to breakfast without getting drenched .
There were many lovely touches like this.
This hotel is definitely 5 star in all aspects and I wondered why it was given a 4 star rating something that initially had put me off booking but apparently it's to do with disabled access to all areas/accommodation.
We will definitely return as we have fallen in love with the place. Thank you so much everyone at the Torralbenc for making our stay so special, relaxing and memorable.
Instantly a favorite, will return many times

Spent several days here in September and came away impressed and enjoying every aspect of Hotel Torralbenc. Located less than 10 minutes west of the airport near Mahon, it is easy to cab or drive to in a rental car. The hotel is set in a small farm that is being planted into olive trees and wine vineyards. The grounds are spectacular, lots of stone walls and beautiful landscaping. Our room had a wonderful bed, sitting area, huge bathroom with shower and soaking tub, and a splendid porch with sun chairs and breakfast table and chairs (have breakfast delivered to the porch for a wonderful experience). The rooms are quiet, and the outdoor living space is surrounded by flowers, olive trees, birds, and bees, a tremendous visual and listening experience when combined with the gentle breeze that seemed consistent. The onsite restaurant was excellent, and we enjoyed the estate wines that were just starting to become available. The pool area is stunning, with a limited number of chairs reflecting the intimacy of a small number of guess rooms. Service was great, just press a button and a waiter takes drink and food orders poolside, great breakfast and dinner service, check in is charming too. Bikes to ride, trails and fields to walk, and plenty of areas to explore nearby (I would recommend the village of Mercadal for exploring, lazy afternoon people watching, or charming dinner options). I could really get used to the wonderful pace of life Hotel Torralbenc provides, easily one of the few favorites I have visited.
Terrible service

Every year we treat ourself to the torralbenc in menorca. This year we were outstandingly disgusted with the service. Previous years, everybody could not be more helpful and charming. This year everything was as if it was hard work for them, even to give you a smile. We sat down for dinner and were waiting 20 minutes before anybody even come to our table. We only see our waiter three times all evening and that was to order our food! The people next to us asked about some wines which they were offered two types so the lady asked for one, she tried it but obviously didnt like it so asked for the second one that was offered, the waitress seemed to be fuming and as she walked away she was tutting!!! Listen, if you were paying for £100 bottle of wine you’d want to like it too!!! We never gave a tip and will not be returning next year!!!
First class.

Torralbenc is one of our favourite getaway places, and for a number of reasons. After a short flight, and very short transfer time, you find yourself in an oasis of calm and beauty. The place is stunning with views across terracotta rooftops and vineyards to the sea (a ten minute drive away). The accommodation is luxurious (we stay in the Grand Ocean View suite and it is one of the best suites we've stayed in), the grounds are beautiful and exceptionally well maintained, and the pool is gorgeous.
There is a small air-conditioned gym, and a shop - selling gorgeous kaftans and jewellery etc, and an exceptionally good spa for massage and holistic treatments and Natura Bisse facials.
Breakfast is excellent and in warmer months is served on the terrace, as is lunch and dinner. And during the day, you can buzz a waiter from your sunbed by the pool for drinks, snacks or lunch.
The only criticism we have, is that the lunch and room service menus are limited if you're staying for more than a few days, and the portions are on the smaller side and quite pricey. However, the standard of food, particularly in the restaurant, is superb, and with one tweak - extending the menu - or changing it daily - this place would deserve ten stars.
This is a perfect place to go if you need to escape the hustle and bustle, and want peace* and sun and luxury.
Note: Go in May/June or September/October - when it's quiet.
Beautiful Property, Genuine Service, Overall Amazing Resort

The staff is genuinely nice and very helpful. From restaurant recommendations to beaches, they offer accurate, authentic advice. They really go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The rooms and grounds are spotless. The beds are super comfortable. The breakfast is generous and delicious (aside from the flies). I hope to stay again, and would recommend this to anyone/everyone.
