We decided on this trip to head to Santa Theresa and I am glad we did. The Hotel Tropico Latino was perfect for us. We enjoy the ocean and we loved that our room had a view of the ocean. We ate at the restaurant every day and the food was awesome and the staff at the hotel was amazing. The hotel was perfect for our visit as it was simple yet elegant enough. The room was clean, coffee was good - service was amazing and we felt like family. If you are looking for empty beaches then this is the place. We can't wait to go back.

The Nicoya Peninsula, one of my favorite locations to disintegrate into the environment and indulge in the practice of pure relaxation and adventure. Hotel Tropico Latino happens to be located in the heart of it. Nestled below the monkeys, this highly dense rainforest habitat of a hotel quickly disconnects you from all your comfort zones and replaces it with what you came looking for, Costa Rica! Walking out onto the beach, you'll experience awesome sunsets, Wolrd class waves, and the perfect atmosphere. That's why I've returned to this hotel 3 times now. Having stayed in most locations, this always fit the vibe spot on. You'll wake up to monkey families in the tress above your cottage howling (5am-8am), crashing of world class swells on the beach and a tiny funky little town with literally the best cuisine around. It's an Excellent choice for a romantic weekend, epic surf sessions for all levels, a family vacation or you need to disintegrate for a while. The hotel is strategically located near Waterfalls, Cabayo, Montezuma, Mai Pas are all within 10-35 minutes. You can rent 4x4 Quads for the day, hit a waterfall, eat lunch in montezuma, walk out to Isle Cabuya at low tide, see the biggest ficus tree in your life on way back and surf behind Hotel Tropico Latino until sunset all in a day! Just took my parents and they loved that day trip! You'll want a 4x4 for Nicoya peninsula, you'll drive through a few small fun rivers and it can get muddy in rainy season but quickly dries within hours. Also the ferry ride over is a good time, you gotta put your car on the boat to get here. But the hotel is awesome, accomodating and clean. Staff is knowledgeable about the area and take their advice on the local eats. There's a grocery store just outside your hotel and resteraunts with in minutes in both directions. It's all local with some world renown chef run places. You'll be very surprised how much you'll love this place, the town and the flavors. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Everyone at this hotel was so incredibly friendly and hospital. The food was AMAZING. We ate at a few other places around town but quickly realized the best food was right on our door steps. We were here on our honeymoon and they put us in a very nice private room. We could not be more happy with our time there. Our bartender Andy was awesome, helpful and lots of fun. Thank you for making our honeymoon that much more memorable.

I expected more, it is neither good nor bad, it is in line with the prices of other hotels advertised in the area, the parking is far from the rooms and has a stone street that makes it difficult to transport the luggage, just enter one and tells you don't consume water from the rooms, the restaurant is being advertised as authors cuisine presents very expensive and unappetizing options, is always empty and closes very early. The towels are old worn and frayed, they offer complimentary coffee in the rooms but it is a coffee that although it is of good brand is not of good quality because it tastes ugly. It is worth noting that the parking is safe, the facilities are in good condition, the staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable.

We enjoyed our vacation in this hotel that is Located front beach, in front of a small supermarket. Great restaurants walking distance.
The hotel has a yoga studio which is front beach lessons are given on a daily basis.
The my treated us really good and did a room upgrade for free.
We recommend this place in Santa Teresa.
