What People are saying

The most amazing hotel we ever stayed!

xekrax on 05/10/2017 13:37

The surroundings and reception stuff are amazing here! We do used to spend there three days. The swimming pool were always clean and tidy. The fresh and tasty breakfast and dinner are always there too. We really liked that stuff offers to drink cofe and brings them to a table! Pizzas are very tasty! Especially with pistacios. Me and my wife have always spent some time on hammocks on very late evenings. The weather and sound here near sea were romantic for us... Thank you!

Nice hotel but not great

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Venus Sea Garden, it's wonderfully situated looking out over the Mediterranean with views of Etna. General feeling is that the hotel feels 'tired' & in need of a make over. Reception staff were friendly & helpful, as were most of the restaurant staff also. The room was OK however there was a complete lack of power sockets & the bathroom desperately needed updating (lost count of the times the shower door came off its rails!). We were on half board & I was really looking forward to the menu but sadly it was at best average & the terrace was great but the main restaurant felt a little like a school dining hall. The pool & pool area is fabulous. We only went for a week's R&R so didn't even explore the area but you would need a car as there is no public transport available. Good but not quite what I expected from a 4 star hotel.
The tennis courts were in a complete state of disrepair so don't pack your racquets!

Great place, great people

Myself and my boyfriend landed back in the UK yesterday and have been reflecting on what a great time we had.

- the staff at reception, at the bar and the restaurant were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us and really made our stay (everyone had perfect English)

- we stayed in a junior suite (which we booked through Voyage Prive) complete with our own private balcony which was cleaned daily and plenty big enough for both of us

- we'd advise booking a rental car as there is not much directly around the hotel (there's a lot of little towns which are half an hour away)

- the only slight negative was that we had 1/2 board and the menu was very pasta heavy

- the pool was gorgeous and had a lot of different types of loungers from bean bags to standard loungers and hammocks

One week in September..

UK Couple.

We arrived the beginning of September and we didn't get to the Hotel until late that night,we were both hungry and tired and we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely meal that was left out for us in our room. :)

The Staff were Very helpful and friendly and spoke very good English and always willing to go out of their way to help.
When we were waiting for a Bus on our first day there one of the Staff "Bar man Carmina" went out of his way to drop us into Town.

We highly recommend Renting a car we could not have got by without it,location wise it is a necessity. We never drove much on the Righthand side of the road before but it went fine after the first few hours.

The pool is quite deep so if you like to dive you're sorted.
The nearest beach is about a ten minute drive from the hotel.
When or if you decide to rent a car if the price is not right ask for a lower budget car.

Little below Four but....

I will tery to be in good faith and not biased.
I was there only for two nights and my feelings are slightly less than a normal four star hotel.
On my check in the staff was very friendly and all of them spoke good English but when I asked for wifi they told me that there is a problem in the area.
Apparently they said the truth because after couple of hours internet was available with good speed.
I stayed in a junior suite and the room found big but very poorly equipped in the living space where the bed was good.
The balcony was good but the problems began in the evening where I realized there were some additional outdoor AC units from the room in the ground floor and the clients there they use it with a constant noise in my room which reduced when I decided to close the door despite the very good weather.
The next day I discovered that there was not any cover in the balcony and after rain start I cannot stay out.
The grill restaurant and the menu was very typical and the only what I will remember is the friendly staff and how well they were spoken English French and some German.
I heard some complaints about a disco club in Saturday night but I have no personal experience
