We drove to Ragusa from Taormina via Piazza Armenian and we encountered a few 'directional' problems on the way not least on arrival in Ragusa as one of the access roads into the street was being repaired. Once parked (not easy) it was a joy to arrive into the beautiful Villa and be greeted so warmly by Antonio. Our rooms were large with a good view of the pool and gardens from our (room no. 9) . We had a stunning view from the bathroom over Ragusa Ibla. Antonio suggested restaurants and sightseeing advice all of which was helpful and excellent. Breakfast is in a stunningly beautiful room but perhaps needs a few tweaks to improve, maybe scrambled eggs would be nice. Otherwise a lovely hotel, well run, great staff in an excellent location. I would choose hotel again as our base for this fascinating town.

I was living in the hotel with my family for three weeks and I could not be more spoil by the staff. They treat us as family, everything was fantastic.
My kids (7 and 4) were like their own kids, every morning in the breakfast the ladies were with them, taking care of them...
The staff was extremely kind with us, they help us and advice us with everything from a hairdresser to restaurants.
I can't be more satisfied with my experience. I really miss them.

In an old building, nicely renovated. Located in Upper Ragusa, easy walk to many good restaurants and shops. More of a hike to the older part of town in Lower Ragusa, but okay for good walkers. Spacious rooms, but small baths and tiny shower (smaller than a phone booth). No wash cloths. Electric goes off in room without key in circuit, need to ask for two keys if you need to charge electronics while out of room. Wifi moderately fast, and reliable. Good breakfast buffet.

In the historic part of Ragusa, you cannot build a new hotel so the hotels that are here had to remodel existing structures without changing interior walls. This hotel changed a luxurious antique villa into a modern hotel. Rooms are different sizes but room 212 is huge, bigger than many 1 bedroom apartments. It has a bedroom a large sitting room the size of a bedroom, a kitchenette and bathroom. Everything is new and updated but the walls between the rooms are 3' thick. Wi-Fi is the best we have had in Sicily. We also have a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden, with a big swimming pool. If you have mobility problems, the upper floor rooms are not for you because there are high stone steps and no elevator. We were traveling with a tour company so we do not know the price. The street is too narrow to accommodate a bus so we unloaded elsewhere and walked about 10 minutes to get here. Our luggage arrived in a smaller vehicle. It is very quiet here and even the A/C is almost silent but in October, we just opened the door to the patio and the windows and were never bothered by insects. Breakfast is typical European, heavy on sweets and no cooked food but very good. Coffee is made to order. Service was excellent. The photos say it all.

We stayed on the second floor and enjoyed the hotel very much. The room, which overlooked the garden in the rear, was spacious, although the bathroom was very small. It is easy to walk to everything. If the stairs to the lower city are too much, you can take a bus or taxi.
