Beautiful old fashioned hotel on lake
Lelie Gon 25/10/2017 19:33Very nice hotel, we had a balcony looking onto to lake Como. Beautiful view, spotlessly clean and very comfy.
Had lunch there; delighted with the whole thing; service, food and general atmosphere.
Only glitch was when we phoned for help in getting us a taxi back from Como town centre at 21.00, after dinner there; we were told to phone ourselves, couldn't help us!!!! Not easy in Italian... we had to go into a cafe, order drinks and then ask them to call a taxi!!! Poor service from the hotel!!!!
Still... they were jolly efficient in taking our money the next day...
Would go back though and drive into Como for the evening!!!
Everyone got a balcony on the water!
janice ron 25/10/2017 01:35While this room was not large it was beautifully appointed. The balcony overlooking Lake Como had wonderful views and was the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of Proseco and chocolates.
At night the light show was lovely and the sound of water lapping the sea wall was very soothing.
The restaurant was elegant and the food delicious. The breakfast was truly amazing with selections in multiple rooms and all of this came with views. A nightcap in the bar was the end to a perfect evening.
The staff was helpful and charming. All around great place to relax and enjoy this incredible place.
Like being on a cruise without the seasickness
Bali-dreamingon 17/10/2017 13:30Loved this hotel. We stayed for just one night and were so glad that we made the trip from Milan for this short time. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
Our room was small but this wasn't a problem. Waking up to the most incredible view, right on the lake, was fabulous. We had dinner at the large pizza restaurant across the road from the hotel, and made use of the ferry stop just a couple of minutes away. Tavernola is one step away from Como and is easily accessed by ferry.
We were very glad we stayed here rather than Como itself.
Nice hotel

It's a very classic accomodation in Cómo a little far from the city but pretty close to the little port of Tavernola where you can board the boats that arrive to Como very fast. There also you can start your trip to Bellaggio and other towns over the lake. Very good restaurant inside the hotel.
Beautiful location
David Kon 10/10/2017 21:27Lovely hotel right on Lake Como just a few minutes walk from the Tavernola ferry stop. The breakfast buffet was, by far, the best we had in 3 weeks in Italy. Lovely to watch the ferries on the lake and the seaplanes taking off and landing. Helpful staff. Internet service was slow.
