A short trip to Italy stopping in Pisa for several nights. Villa Maya was on our list.
A rustic Villa madeover into a Hotel . The greeting was by the owners mother. and two delightful daughters. Led to a comfortable room on the first level. Perfect for me with a slight handicap. Our traveling partner had a second floor room with a generous balcony / patio. Sunday evening first night the restaurant was closed. However we found an incredible Osteria a short distance away see other review on that one. The morning offered us a beautiful breakfast with custom cooked omelet, fruit ,pastries cereals , juices etc and certainly good caffe ....in a separate building just off the patio.
we went out sightseeing satisfied. Then came the evening. We were not going to pass up the opportunity to dine at the Villa also in another part of the Villa which also specializes in wedding and was awarded as 'Best' wedding /caterers this year.The dining room was a beautiful multi arched series of chambers each with several clothed tables extending in a row. We chose the last, so as to be able to view the entire room and enjoy it's ambiance Our Hostess 'Suzi' was very helpful, gracious, personable...all we could have hoped for. The menu unusually elaborate, the Chef excellent ..Tar tar to unique pasti, steak to veal all good and a very nice selection of wines including Villa Maya own label. Assorted types of breads and pastries all made on premise.
The cost very reasonable. we skipped the next night there to have variety but ate again at the Villa the fourth night this time opting for 'cibo cucina provera ' very traditional Italian foods (not Italian American) also well prepared.
But enough about the food. The staff were so attentive, friendly, so Italian Michaela at the front desk and all the others were like family as we departed with embraces and tears....yes so Italian the owner gifted us with Villa Maya wine which I took home to America to share with my family ...loved the Villa,I will return...

When driving to Lucca and Florence we stopped here overnight.
Their accommodations, with AC, were comfortable and reasonable. Special was a glass of local wine in the courtyard served by staff at the end of the day (available for purchase). Breakfast , included, was a delightful experience. Buffet breakfast served in an adjacent cozy building, Bar Tisaneria, with an enclosed patio, is charming.
This hotel is a wedding site (banquet facilities) hence dinner there was a tad overwhelming in a cavernous site with few other guests.
The chef went out of his way welcoming us. We enjoyed our dinner especially the cappaccio!

I was there on August 26 with my boyfriend and the hotel is all you want for days far the cyty and stay quiet , the employees are very helpfull and the breakfast was great but only I didn't like the bed was uncomfortable, they become two single bed in double bed ,is was not good.

Stayed one night at hotel villa Maya in the country site. We liked the calm place after a day travelling, and it was easy to go there with car from Pisa airport. We had a good late dinner in the nice restaurant. Clean, big rooms. Good breakfast. The staff in reception and restaurant were friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for one night on route down south. Lovely old Italian country house. We arrived late but it was no problem to staff who were very nice and also to getting a meal which was delicious. Pasta with truffles and very good wine. Breakfast was typical Italian. Lots of sweets and pastry. Bedroom and bathroom was clean, bed very comfy. The staff were lovely and helpful. Yes it is a wee bit tired round the edges inside but that's part of the charm of the hotel. Only complaint I would make is: please have some fresh bread or rolls in morning instead of all the sweet things. Would I recommend this hotel. YES. Would I return YES
