It's impossible to say a bad thing about Jay Snyder's beautiful, Colonial, garden-filled Xalteva Hotel Condominiums (with great Internet). Manager Melissa Lombardo, who hails from Connecticut and is married to an artist from Grenada, has the rare qualities of being an impeccable manager and multi-tasker while also having a natural artistic sensibility and the gift of intuitive perception. Not only is she fluent in English and Spanish, but she is also fluent in quirky off-the-beaten-path adventures that will make your stay in Grenada unforgettable. Plus: she's a blast.
As for Xalteva itself: what a beautiful, tasteful, high-quality find in every sense of the word. From the simple elegance of hand-made rocking chairs made of gorgeous wood and wicker; to the large, tasteful rooms with their high ceilings of beam and bamboo; tile floors; delicious arched windows and french doors; lovely fully-equipped kitchen; classic Colonial ceiling fans and gorgeous wood trim detail complimented by beautiful sunlight–honestly, you will not want to leave.
Which is precisely why I meant to stay for a night or two but wound up staying for a month.
Now for the best part: the staff. Warm, joyful, impeccable with their work. This team is there for your every need; they work gracefully behind-the-scenes, making it all look easy. Fresh coffee, hand-made Greek yogurt and granola with fresh papaya, pineapple, watermelon, banana served on the balcony under coconut trees? No worries. Maybe you would just like a fresh coconut for breakfast. No worries. Thwack, thwack, thwack... thump! Swish, swish, swish...chop, chop, chop. Yes, Oscar will get you one fresh from the tree and prepare it in seconds for your chilled lime & coconut water où la-là-ness.
I'll try to stop here. But, it's hard. If I have anything negative to say it's that Grenada is hot and humid, à la New Orleans. On my way out, Melissa's husband, Edwardo, gave me a water-color painting of a rooster, happy and preening against a terra-cotta background. It's going on my wall, no cock-a-doodle required to motivate me to start packing my bags anew. One cold snap should do it. #

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and breakfast was made to order.. The pool was very relaxing and wonderful after a day of. Sightseeing. Service was wonderful as the staff is very attentive.. Laundry chargers are very reasonable.

Helpful staff, walk to all the best locations or, just hang out with a book and relax, at a nice secluded pool. Breakfast was in a pleasant outside shaded location by the pool and prepared as you wanted to order.

From the moment I arrived looking around at the beautiful and very well kept grounds, I felt a sense of peace, The beautiful plants and flowers makes you feel as if you are not in the city. Though you are only a short walking distance to the center of Granada Noticed the pool was very clean and inviting. The room we stayed in was nicely decorated and very clean. Many positives to staying here: #1 the whole staff very helpful and friendly. Another plus is the office staff will arrange tours for you, transportation and if you want to know some places to visit the staff is more then willing to give you information.
Breakfast is made and served at the breakfast bar outside. You can sit under the vines or pool side, which I enjoyed everyday of my visit . Delicious!!!!
There is a table outside, the main entrance of the office, which has an assortment of games for the guest to sign out if they wish to borrow.
I would definitely stay at the Hotel Xalteva in my next visit to Granada.

Excellent! The employees are very kind and amazing! The Rooms are well taken care of and the cleaning is really good. Overall the service was great! The mañanee does a good job attending the people. Definitely would recommend this hotel.
