This hotel needs knocking down and rebuilding. The rooms are small and the shower room even smaller and grubby, and even dangerous when trying to get out of the corner shower between the toilet and sink. No airconditioning in July and only ventilation a metre square window which opened out into the room untill it hit the wardrobe, making the room even smaller. There was no hairdryer and only thin bath towels - no hand towels or washcloths. Oh - and there is no lift or help to lug suitcased up to a first floor room.
Good points were that the reception and cleaning ladies were nice and it has a large secure car park, but if you are going down to the seafront to eat and don't take the car because you want wine with your meal its quite a walk (in 35 degs), but does burn off the calories on the way back up the hill.
Swimming pool is OK but it is in the adjoining hotel and can get crowded and noisy with youngsters throwing balls around. There does not appear to be anyone responsible in the pool area.
Apart from this we made the most of it by travelling around the area and enjoyed our week in Balaruc.

We were on a road trip with another couple. The hotel rooms were reserved by the other couple. To us, it's just a place to sleep with no ambience. The price was reasonable and room was clean. Our room was located on the 2nd floor and is reached passed the front desk, up a short flight a stairs, and a door leading to a dark corridor. Good thing we found the light; not inviting. We did not care for the breakfast and the quality of the croissants were inadequate. It is not close to the beach area, so you would need a car.

It is out of the way, quiet/peaceful, clean and comforable. The staff are friendly. The pool is a little walk through to the residence, but when there it is lovely and relaxing.
It's an easy 10-15 min walk into town - very pleasant. I would recommend this place as a good small clean and value for money hotel.
We opted to walk or drive to town for breakfast after the first morning as we were a bit bored with hotel breakfasts, but we may be a little fussy. Standard food available was toast, cereal, croissants etc. Less thn €10 pp

Decent apartment hotel. Nothing fance but low price and a pool. about 15 minutes walk in to the centre
