This was a last minute booking for us as we drove across the Pyrenees from Spain to France, and it turned out to be my favorite stay in a two week trip. We didn't have much time to explore the town as this was a stopover for us, but it didn't matter because I didn't want to leave the hotel anyway! Down a side street, covered with vines, ....sounds like the beginning of a Madeleine story, right? We walked into the house/hotel and were greeted by one of the owners, she and her husband have owned the place since their marriage in 1953. Go while they are in charge! This is old fashioned hospitality at it's finest! We had room No. 1. It was small but charming and opened up to a terrace with a gorgeous view of the mountains we had just driven through. We didn't realize this was such a cycling place until we got there. Note to bicyclers: we did the high pass in extreme fog and must have passed 30 bikers, NOT ONE of whom had any kind of reflector on their bike. We were shocked. We literally couldn't see them until right on them. Back to the hotel: we also took advantage of the meal in the hotel which was tasty and a nice French experience for us, as our vacation was mostly in Spain. I want to come back here and stay longer! Oh, and the garden was beautiful!

After reading overall positive reviews I was looking forward to a pleasant stay. Instead, I experienced one of the worst nights in a hotel.
We were given room 9, on the top floor. I'm not sure if we were just unlucky to be allocated what must be the worst room in the hotel.
The slant of the roof combined with the strange 1960s paisley wallpaper gave the room a cramped, oppressive, depressing feel. The main light switch by the door wasn't working. Neither was the light switch in the shower room, so we had to shower in the dark. We couldn't even enjoy the shower because the roof limited the space.
The bed was punishingly hard, and instead of two comfortable pillows there was one long, stiff pillow that felt like your head was resting on a log. Being on the top floor, the room was hot and stuffy. Since we couldn't keep the windows open all night (insects flying in), we had to rely on a noisy tower fan which also kept us awake all night. The only redeeming feature of this room was its cleanliness.
The good: the reception was friendly. Pleasant garden.

Lovely small hotel right in town. Superb view and garden. Exceedingly charming. Proprietors are friendly and reserved. Loved staying here. Five bakeries within an easy stroll. Near Lourdes and the mountains.

Excellent central position in town that is geared for Pyrenean cycling and walking. Nice rooms some with stunning views. Personal and friendly service throughout hotel and restaurant. Would be very happy to return.

We stayed one night in this beautiful and romantic family driven hotel. The charm of the building strikes you when you arrive and once inside you see the great personal taste and sense of details that is put into every room - from the reception, the restaurant, the living room, the staircase and to the rooms.
Also we loved the carefully designed garden with so many different trees and flowers.
We were greeted by the owner-couple when we arrived. They were fantastic hosts and always present to offer assistance when needed.
All in all a perfect and relaxed stay. We highly recommend this hotel.
