This is a gem of a hotel

I want to start my review by saying I was beyond pleasantly surprised by this hotel and I will go back if I visit Arles or even anywhere close. I might even just go back to stay at this hotel.
My room was comfortable and bright. The common areas of the hotel and beautiful and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The hotel is extremely well situated to get around the important sites in this lovely, interesting and compact town. Even the walk from the train station was only about 15 minutes with baggage.
The only shortcoming with this hotel is the lack of elevator/lift. This is why so many hotels only have 2 starts when they should be 3 or more. I knew this when I booked so I was fine. Don't let it stop you if you can. If you need help with baggage staff would definitely help and if the flights of stairs are too much you could ask for a lower or ground floor room.
This place is a treasure, don't miss it!
Nice Hotel, Excellent Location

We stayed for two nights in The Suite on the upper floor - a very spacious and nicely appointed room, with the bedroom completely separate from the living room and down a small interior hallway. There was a good-sized private outside terrace that opened onto an interior courtyard, so the view was the backs of other buildings, but nice to have the sunshine and fresh air. Bath was modern, very convenient and large. Air-con was quiet and worked well. Flat screen TVs, fridge but no mini-bar.
Breakfast was served in a large ground floor salon and consisted of the typical basket of croissants with other breads, jams and fruit. The coffee was excellent. Front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in suggesting activities, parking and restaurants. Public areas on the ground floor are shared with an art gallery and remind one of a glorious past for this building, which has been restored and well-maintained.
This hotel is located inside the city walls within a controlled access area, so call ahead for driving directions and entry instructions. Your satnav won’t get you there without the access. We found the best access point to be at the top of Montee Vauban directly to the southeast of the Amphitheatre. Stop here to call the hotel to lower the control pylons, then it’s only 2-3 minutes of very slow driving to the hotel due to narrow streets and pedestrians.
Once at the hotel, you can drop your bags and you generally will find nearby paid public parking within 2 minutes walking distance of the hotel. Place de la Republic is an easy five minute stroll from the hotel, and both the Amphitheatre and the Arena are two minutes walking distance.
I don’t recall a lift in the hotel, and the long staircases may cause an issue for mobility-challenged guests. This hotel is under-rated at two stars. Overall we had a very nice stay, and I would recommend this hotel, especially for singles or couples who want to be in the city center.

We had such a great stay at this fab hotel in the heart of old Arles. So close to everything, beautiful interior keeping all the flavor of the centuries-old building. Our room was the top floor, quiet as could be except for the beautiful sound of church bells. Great breakfast in the breakfast room. Hugely recommend!
Nice hotel - perfect location

This is a lovely, simple hotel located in a beautifully restored old house steps from the Roman amphitheater in Arles. Rooms are clean, modern and simply furnished with bright fabrics from the region. It is well located to explore the old town, visit the weekend market and explore the wonderful restaurants Arles has to offer. One word of advice - request NOT to have a room on the ground floor at street level. The old narrow street in front of the hotel means you hear every person walking by your window!
Old Town Arles

The hotel is conveniently located near the Roman arena and amphitheatre of Arles. Comfortable room, with air-conditioning, and bathroom. Accessible to local restaurants, café and bars in the old town. Obviously a tourist area but absolutely charming ambience and gorgeous old buildings.
Breakfast available at an additional cost (not included in room rate).
10 minute walk to the train station.
Would use the hotel again if we come back to Arles.
