A Good Value Hotel With Views Of The Sea

Ploumanac'h is right at the start or finish of The Sentier Des Douaniers (The Pink Granite Coast Walk) The other end being Perros- Guirec. It is a quaint place aimed at the tourist industry. The hotel shares its position with other hotels, creperies, bars & shops. The room we had albeit small was pleasant enough for a stay consisting of three nights. It had a small balcony overlooking the small square with views of the beach & sea. The staff were friendly & there is a large public free car park just a two minute walk away. If you are looking for a livelier or bigger place (we weren't) you might consider staying at Perros - Guirec instead. Free Wi Fi. Didn't try the breakfast which consisted of sweet pastries/ croissants for eight euro's. There is a small patisserie around the corner. No hesitation in recommending this place if you don't mind small rooms.
Do not book direct!

I made a booking with this hotel on 17/07/15 for September and received an email advising that I would be advised by email at the earliest. As I did not hear anything, I then emailed the hotel directly on 20/07/15 advising them that I have tried to make a booking and had received an email confirming my request but had not received the option to pay via any email link. I asked them to ring me in order to complete the booking. I also advised them that I have made a booking via Booking, com, but that I would cancel this, once they confirmed my booking directly with them. I then received an email from Audrey at hotel on 21/07/15 stating that "Your reservation is completed via booking and the payment will be made directly at the hotel". I therefore cancelled my Booking.com booking as they had confirmed that I was booked directly with them. Imagine our shock after a long journey, to be told that they had no booking and no rooms!
We showed Stephane all the email correspondence and as I pointed out we had an email from his wife, which stated the reservation was complete. He therefore arranged for us to stay in another hotel, but we were not to pay them. He took the paperwork and advised us to return in the morning once he had spoken to his wife and that everything would be rectified. Unfortunately, in the morning we were then advised by the new hotel that our booking was null and void and that we needed to pay them directly, which we did. My husband then returned to Hotel de l'Europe to be told that they had made an error with their translation, which they found extremely funny. They basically ignored our paperwork and did nothing to resolve the situation, when he asked were we booked in for the remaining nights of our originally booking, they were surprised that we wanted a room. Where else did they think we were going to stay?
Needless to say due to their attitude and incompetence we booked another hotel for the rest of our holiday.
Very nice stay, lovely spot, good value for money. Recommended.

This side of Ploumanac'h is really beautiful - much nicer than the port side; you can take long walks or short walks and see really impressive things, and it's handy for the boats to the Sept Iles. There are quite a few restaurants and shops for a little place. The hotel is fine, very good value for money, clean and comfortable, nice people running it. Breakfast is simple but good, buffet so you can have us much as you want in your own time, plenty of juice, good coffee, bread, little croissants, pains chocolats, cereal, yogurt, fruit...
No sea view rooms were available, so we had a village side one with a bay window, which was good because it made for more space in the room which was light and airy, it was a bit cold to use a balcony anyway, but you could open the windows and enjoy the afternoon sun. Fresh soft comfortable bedding. Spacious bathroom with a proper bath as well as shower, basic liquid soap dispensers. TV has BBC World (switch is by the bed!), we didn't need wifi. No means of making tea or anything in the room, which we missed, but understand it would make for more work and cost for them which would have to be transferred to the customer, and the price is really very reasonable indeed for such a great location.
Altogether recommended.
A hotel to keep in your phone book

We go to this hotel once a year for our wedding anniversary. Why? You can be footsteps away from the beach without paying seafront prices. The owner is a great guy and welcomes you and the rooms are wonderful. He takes a pride in looking after the place and we kind of look forward to seeing the color scheme chosen each year. Most rooms have a balcony. Choose rooms looking away from the sea for cheapness. The thing is you have a hotel in tge center of the village and can get all the choice of restaurants and things to see without even getting in the car. It is peaceful and the breakfasts are very generous. We tried another hotel in the area and got food poisoning! That will teach us to stick to what we know and trust. This hotel is it.
Good rates in an exceptional environment.

We had the opportunity to book the room 208 which has the best view by far. The rates are really good for the location. The room was smaller than others but why would you spend time in your room in Ploumanach.
